Is Kamala Harris "The Most Powerful VP Since Nixon?"
Salon Magazine, which called AllahPundit one of the 25 "Conservative" Twitter Influencers its partisan wackjob readers should follow, now declares Kumala to be the most powerful VP since Tricky Dick.
Tricky Dick, meet Tricks With Dicks.
Their evidence for her being the most powerful VP evah? Uhhh... just a checklist of her Identity Points, of course.
Perhaps not many-- but Harris' unique status is no secret. No woman has ever previously held national elected office, nor has any person of Asian ancestry. Harris is also the first Black vice president, a fact which obviously leaves her somewhat in the shadow of Barack Obama. As a recent Daily Beast article points out, Harris is held to a double standard, and her sinking poll numbers and hostile press coverage seem to reflect that.
The symbolic significance of a Black woman with multiethnic heritage presiding over a 50-50 Senate still largely comprised of white men is impossible to miss. Harris has literally tilted the balance of power toward the Democrats with her tie-breaking votes, and vice-presidential history suggests she could also do so in a more profound way.
Who needs accomplishments when we can just list our "historic firsts" all day long? That was Hillary Clinton's motto, and that took her all the way to an alcoholic retirement in Chappaqua.
Kumala's most recent demonstration of power was stating, honestly but disastrously, that her dying-brained boss was completely unprepared to face new covid variants even though they had been warned of since the initial days of the pandemic.
LA Times:
Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday that the administration failed to anticipate the variants that have prolonged and worsened the COVID-19 pandemic and that she underestimated the role misinformation would play in prolonging the disease that has killed 800,000 Americans.
"We didn't see Delta coming. I think most scientists did not -- upon whose advice and direction we have relied -- didn't see Delta coming," she said. "We didn't see Omicron coming. And that's the nature of what this, this awful virus has been, which as it turns out, has mutations and variants."
Below, Shemeka Michelle appears on Fox News for the first time to cast doubt on the claim that Kumala is super-powerful, and to also work out some of her new comedy material. Do give it a click.
