Brandon's Handlers Accuse Manchin of Bad Faith in Wake of His "No" On Build Back Bolshevik Bill

On Sunday, Manchin went on Brandon's favorite network, Fox News, to say he was a hard "Hell No" on the Build Back Bolshevik bill.

"If I can't go home and explain to the people of West Virginia, I can't vote for it. And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can't. I've tried everything humanly possible. I can't get there," Manchin said. "This is a no on this piece of legislation. I have tried everything I know to do."

The White House is claiming that Manchin promised to support the "framework" of this bill and the "scope" of it, meaning, the dollar amount.

Except the didn't. These are all lies.

But Psaki accuses Manchin of lying, and of betraying Brandon -- and the Democrat cause.

And the poor. And children.

And America.

Basically, Brandon declared war on Manchin, which is good for Manchin, because, as the Taliban can tell you, Brandon sucks at war.

"Senator Manchin's comments this morning on FOX are at odds with his discussions this week with the President, with White House staff, and with his own public utterances," Psaki said. "Weeks ago, Senator Manchin committed to the President, at his home in Wilmington, to support the Build Back Better framework that the President then subsequently announced. Senator Manchin pledged repeatedly to negotiate on finalizing that framework 'in good faith.'"

"On Tuesday of this week, Senator Manchin came to the White House and submitted -- to the President, in person, directly -- a written outline for a Build Back Better bill that was the same size and scope as the President's framework, and covered many of the same priorities. While that framework was missing key priorities, we believed it could lead to a compromise acceptable to all," Psaki continued in her statement. "Senator Manchin promised to continue conversations in the days ahead, and to work with us to reach that common ground. If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator's colleagues in the House and Senate."

Manchin did not agree to support a $1.7 trillion bill. He announced months ago that he would support a $1.5 trillion bill. Brandon and the Democrat presented him with a $1.7 trillion bill, so that's already outside what he said he'd support.

But it's worse than that, of course, because that $1.7 trillion price tag was a lie. That number was contrived through transparent horse-sh*t gimmicks like supposedly sunsetting leftwing spending programs obviously intended to go on forever after one or three years.

No actual spending was taken out of the $3.5 trillion bill Manchin objected to -- they just pretended that some of the larger spending plans would only go on for one or three years out of the ten years the budget covered.

Literally no one in DC believes that, and when Peter Doocy asked Jen Psaki if Joe Biden would commit to those supposed sunset limitations on spending, she changed the subject and refused to answer.

So no, Joe Manchin never agreed to this "framework" or this "scope" of spending.

This is a lie. They tried to keep pushing a $3.5 trillion bill at him and hoped that they could pressure him into going along with a fake $1.7 fugazy version of the $3.5 trillion bill.

By the way, part of that pressure campaign consisted of, get this, media hacks acting as a virtual arm of the Brandon White House in hectoring and haranguing Manchin about why he wouldn't Think of the Children and support Brandon's bill.

Below, panelists on ABC "News" let out audible cries of distress as news of Machin's "no" crossed the transom:

So now the White House is calling him a liar and a Hater of America.

Essentially they declared him a Republican:

Psaki said the administration will continue to press Manchin "to see if he will reverse his position yet again, to honor his prior commitments and be true to his word." Her pointed statement ended by noting that Manchin "will have to explain" his choice to families and children around the country.

"In the meantime, Senator Manchin will have to explain to those families paying $1,000 a month for insulin why they need to keep paying that, instead of $35 for that vital medicine," Psaki said. "He will have to explain to the nearly two million women who would get the affordable day care they need to return to work why he opposes a plan to get them the help they need. Maybe Senator Manchin can explain to the millions of children who have been lifted out of poverty, in part due to the Child Tax Credit, why he wants to end a program that is helping achieve this milestone--we cannot."

For his part, Manchin blamed Brandon's puppetteers:

"I just got to the wit's end," he said, adding that White House staff "drove some things and they put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable. They know what it is."

"The bottom line [is] I knew that we could not change, it was never going to change."

I wonder what they stuffed in there that Manchin told them would be a no-go for him.

He also said that the White House strategy of not actually negotiating with him (or Sinema) but instead just pushing the left's preferred bill on him and using pressure to force him into compliance was a bad one:

He also criticized leadership's strategy, arguing they wrongly assumed "surely we can move one person, surely we can badger and beat one person up."

"Well, guess what? I'm from West Virginia. I'm not from where they're from, and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they'll be submissive, period," Manchin said.

But that's all these people know.

By the way, while I don't think Manchin would flip parties -- what would he gain? -- Brandon & Co. really should be careful about declaring Manchin a Republican, lest he decide to make that official.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday told reporters that "it would be a great idea" for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to switch to the Republican Party.

The comment came after McConnell and Manchin had a meeting as negotiations continue for President Biden's Build Back Better plan, The Associated Press reported.

"As you know, he likes to talk," McConnell said of Manchin. "It would not surprise you to know that I've suggested for years it would be a great idea, representing a deep-red state like West Virginia, for him to come over to our side."

"I don't think that's going to happen," McConnell added.

Because the left lost a political clash, you know what time it is: It's time for the usual gnashing of Democrat-Media Complex teeth that our Democracy Has Died and we must abolish the Senate to stop this subversion of democracy from ever happening again.

This prompted an amusing response from Seth Mandel:

Democracy simply cannot be saved if 51 or 52 senators can outvote 48 or 49.

Below, Manchin's declaration on Build Back Bolshevik.
