What he's agreeing to is that if you have "privilege" -- in this context (and in most contexts!) meaning "you are a white man" -- you should step aside to let a less-privileged person take your slot.

He's pushing this standard on Bernie Sanders.

But meanwhie, Matthew Dowd, adulterer and chief "political analyst" at a major news corporation, and most notably, a privileged straight white man himself, isn't stepping aside to let a An Woman or An POC take his slot.

No, this is something they virtue signal out that other people should do.

Not them -- no, not them. They're too important. They couldn't be replaced by a stupid woman or incompetent minority.
