The Morning Report - 10/1/18

Good morning kids. Well, here we are. It's the first Monday in October, the start of a brand new term of the Supreme Court but thanks to the absolutely disgusting political hit job inflicted on the nation and on decent, upright and completely innocent Brett Kavanaugh and his family, the court will be short one justice.

On Thursday, we witnessed Justice Kavanaugh deliver an impassioned, yet intelligent, direct and complete defense of his character and of his actions as a teenager 36-odd years ago. We also witnessed one of the most remarkable defenses of Justice Kavanaugh and indictments of the Democrat-Left-Media complex by Senator Lindsey Graham. It was blunt and harsh, not because it was in any way crude or foul (it was not) but because it was the unvarnished, plain-spoken and harsh truth that needed to be said both in that venue and directly to and into the faces of those Senators who have done grievous harm to an already disfigured American body politic.

As Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana put it, the Democrats turned the hearings into "an intergalactic freak show." To be sure, the likes of power-mad, demented imbeciles like Maizie Hirohito, Cory Sparse 'n Cuss and Dick Blume'Nguyen-Giap. But far and away, the distinction for being the most loathsome, despicable duplicitous turd, in service to himself and the dissolution of America, goes to Jeff Flake. ...Flake's focus on optics, on his raw ambition (for 2020?), and on the kind of "swamp creature" political maneuvering surrounding this planned reversal paints for the American people a hideous and disturbing portrait of the Arizona senator... Flake's positioning of himself as some sort of unifying force whose sole mission is to save the Senate and SCOTUS because he is driven by patriotic desires for national unity is unraveling, however.
The plot to further stall the Kavanaugh nomination was hostaed Thursday night in Senator Susan Collins' (R-ME) office. Also allegedly in attendance were Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Joe Manchin (D-WV). The four put their heads together and realized that as only Flake serves on the Judiciary Committee, they couldn't pull off their devious plot without the assistance of another Senator serving on the committee.

They somehow landed on Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), and as noted above, Flake has been putting him to good use as a political prop and general useful idiot...

I would disagree with Jacobson on that last point. I don't know that Coons in this instance is the useful idiot, considering that Flake's self-inflating egomania is fast approaching Obama levels of clueless grandiosity. Remember, Flake is a lame duck because his approval in Arizona crashed and burned over the past couple of years. It's safe to say he was the Fredo Corleone to Chris Coons' Johnny Ola. His rabid hatred of this President made it easy for him to use the "patriotic duty" pretext/bullshit to help advance the Democrat agenda of stonewalling not just this pick but every nominee the President will make through the midterms. And assuming the GOP loses the Senate, every nominee for the next two years when, they assume, PDT will be defeated. No doubt by Jeff Flake, right?

It's rather fittingly ironic that Jeff Flake hails from the same state as that other shining beacon of honesty and integrity, the late John McCain. Mr. Flake, I pride myself on being a pretty good writer but even now - after suffering through the Obama, Bush and Clinton years and through the ever increasing arrogance and tone-deaf disregard for the oath to the Constitution, one's voters and constituents and to the most infinitesimally minute particle of ethics and morality that inhabits the shriveled up heart of America's politicians - even after all of that, I find myself at a complete loss for words to describe the disgust and opprobrium I have for you. Oh sure, you'll leave DC and become some sort of lobbyist or even commentator on one of the agitprop outlets. But your delusions of grandeur of ever being elected President, let alone nominated are risible. I assure you that soon enough, you too will suffer the same fate as McCain. Oh I don't mean fatal cancer. Something far worse than that, at least in your eyes and the eyes of the evil bastards that rule this great nation. Very soon now, the same Democrats and Leftists that are singing your praises will kick you to the curb and heap scorn and derision on you just as they did to McCain once he became the 2008 nominee. If its one thing the new Democrat-Socialist SJWs hate more than a white male, it's a crooked white male politician playing games for political advantage. They know who you are just as we do. After all, they may be dumb, but they're not stupid.

As we say in Yiddish, Heng dikh oyf a tsikershtrikl vestu hobn a zisn toyt. And that goes for Collins and Murkowski as well.

Meanwhile, as this brief FBI investigation begins, Byron York warns us, as if we didn't know, that the Dems are already moving the goalposts, making demands and engaging in further lies, smears, distortions and mopery. For what it's worth Lindsay Graham is calling for an investigation into Feinstein's handling of the Ford letter vis a vis leaks, and as time goes on more and more of the accusations from all quarters evaporate or are debunked, but seemingly not as fast as the Dem-Left and Ford's shysters turn over every rock in search of others (that is, others willing to lie for them). In spite of all this, we do have a couple of essays that are high on Justice Kavanaugh surviving this and eventually being seated. Please G-d.

With all of this, if he is sworn in and if either Bader-Meinhoff or another seat becomes vacant, I can't imagine the hell that's going to break loose. But the Communists are tweeting what they have in mind, as did Andrew Gillum's aide, and someone in the Dem party who doxxed the personal info of several GOP Senators. Maxine "Polluted" Waters is ranting and raving it wasn't her. Meh she rants and raves in her sleep.

Politically, even before the hearings, GOP enthusiasm is surging, PDT held a wild rally in Joe's Man-Chin's territory (no doubt aimed at his vote), pro-lifers want red state Dems to vote for Kavanaugh but signs are that they won't in spite of political fallout, Fauxcahontas is now going to run in '20, and several thoughtful pieces why this midterm is absolutely crucial to the survival of the nation.

Big news that is breaking is that the Canadians have raised the white flag and will indeed sign onto a new trade agreement with the US and Mexico. Also, the Chi-Coms are raising the white flag over PDT's steel and textile tariffs. Meanwhile, despite progress the NorKs said at the UN that there will be no disarmament until sanctions are lifted. Meh, PDT will wheel and deal, no doubt. And a 7.0 earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia has killed hundreds. Prayers.

You say you want a revolution? You're gonna get one, Lefties.
