Mid-Morning Open Thread

The NY/NJ Moron Meet-up last night in Hoboken went quite well! Many old hands, but several new faces, including Bluebell and Weasel, our very own publishing moguls. They are much nicer in person than they seem on the blog!

Much was discussed...very little was settled, although there was consensus that Pennsylvania needs to be shortened by a few hundred miles.

I urge all of you who have the opportunity to attend a meet-up to give it a shot. It is a real pleasure to spend a few hours with people who can have discussions about political events without contentiousness or anger. And while the internet is a wonderful place, it cannot replace human contact!
