The Morning Report 3/23/18
Good morning kids. The weekend is here, thank goodness, and the top story is the $1.3 trillion gang anal-rape of the American people. Senate majority leader Cuck Schemer and his meat puppet Mitch McConnell passed the bill in their chamber late last night after Nancy Palsi rode Paul Ryno hard and put him away wet in the House during bonding night. But, great news; President Trump reassures us that this is a good thing since it gets the symbol of his candidacy, the border wall, funded and started as well as provide much needed funding for the military. I hate to burst your bubble, sir, but it doesn't.
In fact, not only is the money a fraction of what's needed but the language of the bill specifically forbids concrete; only wire and fencing. Might we assume we can at least have a little concrete to anchor the fencing? And yet budget hawk Mick Mulvaney assures us that this is "really, really" good. Well, look on the bright side; at least Planned Parenthood is fully funded, the $1.3 trillion is only enough for six months (runs out just before the midterms!) and doesn't include Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid and the Obamacare remnants. Best of all, this is the new baseline from which the next spending bill starts off at. Winning.
What an absolute, unmitigated, disaster. Actually, it's worse than that; it is an intentional boot in the groin to the American people who not only voted for the President but who have been voting for a political party to stop this since at least the 2010 election. Louisiana Senator Kennedy is dead right when he says that this bill is Congress urinating on the leg of the American people. And that is being extremely mild about it. It looks as if the President is going to sign this and then that will be that. There are those MAGA stalwarts who look on this bill as a betrayal of the President. Well, it is. But if he signs the bill then can these people be intellectually honest and still say the same thing? Ronald Reagan on several occasions told Congress to pound sand when they pulled stunts like this and whipped out his veto pen. And he didn't have control of both houses of Congress either. Sure, even if the President did veto this bill, McTraitor and Ryno would still whip the votes to override him. But it's the principle of the thing - the very reason that PDT ran in the first place which is to drain the swamp and secure the border with the wall. Signing this bill may very well signal the moment he pisses away his presidency. Well, at least Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States of America. And, by the way, GO TO HELL, GOP.
The other big story to break yesterday was the dismissal of H.R. McMaster and the immediate replacement with John Bolton to head the NSC. Great move, which places a non-globalist to head that crucial agency. Coming within a day of the leak that PDT was told not to congratulate Putin for winning the Russian election, you have to wonder if the leaker was McMustard himself. In any case, he supported the Iran nuke betrayal, was cool on Israel and see the link from the Daily Caller indicating he was in fact working for a think tank closely tied to the Chi-Coms and Russkies.
On the economic front, the Chi-Coms have quickly retaliated against PDT's tariffs by imposing them on 128 US products. That didn't sit well with the stock market which took a 724 point dump yesterday. Part of that is also due to the Fed raising interest rates. We shall see if the President's theory on trade wars ultimately holds. In the mean time, fasten your seat belts.
On the gun front, Spirit Airlines has apologized for the stewardess who took it upon herself to deliver a Nuremberg rally at 30,000 feet but Citibank is going all in on taking away your right to bear arms. This is kind of an alarming turn of events, as it reinforces a post I had a couple of weeks ago about the world's largest institutional lending agencies taking up the social justice mantle. Whoa to anyone who wants loan and is not on board with the program. Couple that with the stranglehold that Google, Facebook and Amazon have on the internet and that is not a good scene. Speaking of Zuckerberg, his noble act of accepting government regulation of Facebook is patently obvious: it's a sort of sideways backdoor net neutrality that goes around the Congress actually needing to pass a law. Bastard.
Finally, there is new video emerging in both the Austin serial bomber case and the Mandalay Bay mass murder that are raising more questions than they answer. We are not being told the truth. And considering the level of honesty and integrity in our national law enforcement agencies, and sadly too many of our state and local ones as well (hello, Broward County), that is not tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. It is the sad, hard truth of our times. G-d help us.
Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
