The Morning Report 10/10/17

Good morning kids. Tuesday's child is full of piss and vinegar so let's dive right in, shall we? First up, the wildfires sweeping through Northern California have caused thousands to flee, destroyed at least 1,500 buildings and as of this morning 10 reported deaths. Hope that any morons up that way are safe and that the fires can be controlled fast.

Well, Bob Corker has let the worst kept secret out of the bag; the GOP-e has aligned itself with the Democrats to nullify President Trump, his agenda and by extension a wide swathe of the nation that put him in office to enact that agenda. As I have often said, the GOP-e is there to preserve, protect and defend the Leviathan and its own power- and lucre-generating bureaucracy. Steve Bannon and Jeff Lord have called for Corker to step down, which means that he will double down. From the Border wall to tax reform to Obamacare Renege and Rename, PDT and we are at an impasse. And yet, things are getting done such as the EPA's dismantling of Obama's economy-killing energy policy and hopefully the Iran Nuke Sellout, of which Bob Corker played a key role in engineering. The deadline for that is in five days. Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, schmatte-maker Donna Karan of DKNY fame is causing liberal heads to explode by defending Harvey Weinstein, essentially comparing him to a typical Syrian "refugee" to Germany or Sweden. Wow. And Dianne Feinstein, bless her black heart, admits openly that no law would've prevented the massacre in Vegas, but still we need more gun control. At least Eugene Robinson at the Nat'l Laughingstock is open about wanting to just confiscate all guns. Feinstein is evidently going to seek reelection despite her 84-year-old post-GILF status. The Democrat Party, having all but been completely subsumed by the hardcore Marxists wants her out. I would have to approve of that, only insofar as it means the Democrats will have no more pretense of trying to appear reasonable. Let a thousand freak flags fly in 2018 and beyond.

Speaking of the Vegas massacre, the sheriff's department has given a surprising update to the timeline. They are now saying that the security guard was shot a full six minutes before the gunman opened fire on the crowd below. As time passes, I fear more and more we are being prevented from knowing the full facts about this case. And Pam Geller's assessment that the FBI is lying to us - especially in light of Comey, Mueller and the Deep State - is hard to dismiss.

There is a great piece in the last link about the significance of Christopher Columbus which refutes the Leftist tropes about him as mass murdering genocide monger of the innocents and slave-master. Read it, learn it and throw it back in the Left's faces. Lastly, and somewhat tangentially related, I'd like to wish a belated HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY IN HELL to Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
