Shooter Dead: According to tweets, the shooter was killed on the 32nd floor.

Some confirmation of this comes via another twitter user who says she heard "Code 4" on the police scanner, which notes that a situation is no longer considered active or emergency.

Live reports from a Las Vegas news station. It's been reported that there's a suspicious package near the Luxor, but bear in mind, people are always hyper-cautious after an event like this. The suspicious package will probably turn out to be a backpack someone dropped while running away or something benign like that.

It sounds like an automatic weapon, or maybe two of them.

Note: I deleted that tweet claiming "20 dead," which sounded too high to me. At least I hope it is.

I've replaced it with one saying 2 dead, 24 shot.

I hope the 20 dead is a false report.
