The Morning Report 6/6/17

Good morning, kids. Islamist terrorism and the Left's rabid defense/obfuscation of same continue to dominate the headlines in the wake of London Bridge, Manchester and Melbourne. Ace and Kurt Schlichter have touched upon our collective refusal to continue to tolerate the constant rhetorical and in some cases physical beat-downs by the forces of totalitarianism that seek our submission. We are now reacting in ways that we never dared imagine even a few short months ago. Merely writing the word "revolution" over at Hot Air back in 2010 got me banned. Now, seven years later Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins has called for a "Christian holy war" against Islamic terrorists. Granted, Rep Higgins' remarks are limited to only those doing the killing and not Moslems in general, but the rage in his tone (much of it directed at the politically correct crowd, no doubt) and the words "kill 'em all" might have made even yours truly blanche not so long ago. No more.

On another note, on this day in 1944, arguably one of, if not the most pivotal day of the last century, the Allies stormed ashore on the Normandy coast to commence the liberation of Europe and the defeat of Nazi Germany. It also marks the 50th anniversary of the 6-Day War, where Israel, anticipating its destruction, instead wiped out the combined armies of Egypt and Syria and forever earned the enmity of the world by not doing what Jews are supposed to do in those situations: die.
