The National Laughinstock Now Praising Denver to Reduce Maximum Sentences for Domestic Violence -- Wife-Beating -- So as to Protect Illegals from Deportation

This may sound familiar -- a Green Card holder struck a plea deal for his two bank robberies to be sentenced to just one day less than a year, because any sentence of a year or more exposes a Green Card holder to deportation.

The Boston prosecutors successfully kept this Solid Non-Citizen in the country, where he went off to an economically fruitful and diverse career of murdering two doctors engaged to one another.

Not to be outdone, sanctuary city Denver is now "fighting back" -

against the illegal immigration crackdown by reducing the maximum sentences for a wide variety of crimes, including wife-beating, which they used to be rather firmly against, but different circumstances have revealed their true priorities.

With a raft of allegedly "minor" crimes now capped in sentencing to no more than one day less than a year, Denver hopes to keep a lot of criminals contributing to the diverse quilt of murder and vehicular manslaughter that is the fabric of American greatness.

Allegedly these sentencing guidelines apply to anyone, but I have a feeling that they'll make an occasional exception for actual US citizens, and sentence them to longer stays in jail.
