Good morning, kids. Well, the big news is the exit of Bill O'Reilly from Fox News after a 21-year run pretty much at the top. I used to sort of like him, and then grew tired of him, but aside from my personal feelings, it's a shame he had to go this way. Beyond the surface-level details of what he may or may not have done, the undercurrent of internal Fox power struggles as well as the fodder for bashing Republicans and conservatives are the other angles worthy of exploration. In other news, Jason Chaffetz has somewhat surprisingly decided not to seek re-election in 2018, which means Egg McMuffin will Tossoff his hat into the ring and become our savior. Oh joy, oh bliss. I've also linked to an article about Bill Gates warning about the dangers of a bioterrorism attack. I think his angle is more about shystering government money for pandemic prevention, but this kind of a threat is nightmare fuel, for sure. I had a long conversation with a doctor friend of mine and he basically told me in shocking detail just how easy it would be for terrorists to kill millions of us. Suffice it to say, I will not be saying any more on that subject publicly. Lastly, there was a gigantic SMOD that came within a cosmic red mish hair's distance from the Earth yesterday, and whizzed by us at 73,000 mph. One of these days, boy. Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
