Media Bias #780,098,976,5... eh fuckit
The Week is an OK read. It's a digest that pulls from a lot of sources. Lefty-tilty, but they do allow the cons to get their shots in, too.
Check out this bit on this season's voter fraud. It's short. A lot has been left out of the article, but it is a thin weekly publication, after all. A full rundown would fill a tome. This was maybe the top half of the page in their small mag.
The first half of the article lists legitimate fraud concerns and Obama's ties to ACORN. The rest of the article bats those concerns down.
The press always pushes this tiresome line that Mickey Mouse and Mary Poppins will never show up to actually vote. They never mention that filing a false registration is still a crime.
And man oh man, they never mention that the traditional object of filing multiple thousands of false registrations is to overwhelm the poll workers who check those registrations. Therefore creating opportunities for bad actors.
Articles in The Week are by necessity short, but explaining these concepts would have required little text.
What sentence was deemed indispensible?
It’s all part of “the Republicans’ concept of democracy,” said Joel McNally in the Madison, Wis., Capital Times. “The original idea of our Founding Fathers was to limit voting to white, male property owners.” The GOP, it seems, still resents that those halcyon days are over.
Emphasis me. That's the last line in the article. The parting shot.
You will note that it is not in quotes. That appears to have come directly from the so-called journalist. The gal or guy who is supposed to simply report what other people do and say.
The journalist is not paraphrasing Mr. McNally, either. Here is the article the quote comes from. Fourth paragraph from the bottom.
Obviously this crap happens all the time, everywhere. But it's good to point it out for our special friends in the media every once in a while, just to let them know that we do notice when they do it, and we have for years and years.
See, the problem with you journos is; even when you're supposed to be presenting both sides, you just can't help yourselves. You just have to piss off half your audience by insulting their intelligence and calling them all racists.
Twits.
Aaaanyway.
What's up guys? How's your Saturday night going, eh? I'm about to switch to alcohol and head for the porch for a smoke.
If any trolls show up, have Geezer call me on the cell.
