Joe the Plumber About to Be "Vetted" by the Lefty Smear Merchants
Joe the Plumber [Byron York]
I don't know anything about Joe Wurzelbacher, but I just have one bit of advice. If you have anything in your past that you're not proud of a messy divorce, a DUI, an unpaid bill, an indiscreet comment, whatever be prepared for it to become public knowledge. The lefty blogosphere, along with allies in the press, will see to that.
And not just the lefty blogosphere, my tipster ads.
He got "uppity." He's a middle class tradesman who dared to express a political opinion disfavorable to the hard left. Obviously, they will have to destroy him -- how can they save him if they do not destroy him?
Some people just don't know what's best for them. And some people just will never appreciate how much you've done for them -- digging into their past, calling up old girlfriends, smearing their reputation -- in order to save them from the hellhole that is middle class America.
Once this uppity prole has been decimated and returned, chastened, to his proper position -- leadership from above, confidence from below -- and, say, some nasty dirt has been spread about him based on an affair or the like, he can take great comfort in the promise that, under President Obama, sexuality is sacred.
Politico Officially More Interested in Joe Wurzelbacher's Unpaid Back-Taxes Than Senate Candidate Al Franken's: Shock.
True: James--
What they don't get is that we're not rallying behind Joe the Plumber the man, we're rallying behind Joe the Plumber the idea. You can destroy the man, but the idea will only get stronger.
Just like Batman.
