Man slips past security at Charlotte airport, boards plane
And leaves.
argh.
Authorities unsure whether it was intentional or the man was simply confused about the security process.
Well no shit they're unsure, they don't know who he is.
15 planes were searched (some called back to the gate), but 12 flights left before the searches began.
TSA spokesman Jon Allen said "those passengers will be screened when the flights land".
mad scientist geoff comments:
That's a relief - our security system can be penetrated by somebody who's "confused." I imagine it would be breached even more quickly by somebody who's merely "puzzled."
Thanks for making me feel better.
UPDATE: They've stopped looking for him.
the TSA is no longer searching for the man and speculated he may have walked out of the Charlotte airport
Well, he simply walked in, so yeah, I guess that makes sense.
