Important Gaywad News: WoW Now Has "Death Knights," Goes Up To Level 80 »
August 03, 2007
Update: All allegations were demonstrated to be false according to officials at Army Public Affairs.
That update from Matt Sanchez. I'm noting it, as I imagine he did, because the earlier statement spoke of a "claim" (singular) having been proven false, which gave rise to questions as to whether they had just investigated one claim or several.
That doesn't seem like enough to justify a post. Okay, here's a little more.
Confederate Yankee is waiting for specific confirmation on a nit, which he probably won't get today because it's like nighttime or something in Iraq, if you can believe that.
He's not sure whether or not to go forward with this. I'll help him make up his mind.
Let's just say Confederate Yankee is pretty sure TNR had a specific denial of the "burned woman" tale even from its New & Improved! location in Camp Buerhing in Kuwait, from an official who would probably know, but seems to have, err, made another "error" or "mistake" in failing to note that in its official statement on Scott Beauchamp.
Isn't that the sort of thing one usually notes in a story?
Jason?
Isn't it, Jason?
Why won't you talk to me, Jason?
Jason, are you mad at me?
Maybe Jason just forgot to pass that on to Franklin Foer. Another "error."
Actually... I'm rather sure the Army was leaning towards "false" before saying so today. Ergo, I'm pretty sure TNR had denials from the military -- or at least "we have no evidence of this" half-denials -- before they issued their statement.
Guess they didn't have the space to note that. On their blog. Because pixel-space has become very expensive lately.
In related news... I'm kind of pissed Gracie didn't immediately identify himself as a Certified Homosexual in our correspondence.
I didn't put up the firewall, and now my computer is all infested with gaycooties.
Plus, I mistook a queer for a reliable, credible source.
D'oh! Boy is my face red!
