Big: Judge Rules in Favor of DeSantis' Lawsuit Challenging Legality of Biden's "Mass Parole" of Illegal Aliens; Rules That It's Illegal Under the Administrative Procedures Act

"Mass parole" is just Biden giving blanket amnesty to all illegals caught at the border, ordering them to be released into the American heartland with a nominal "show up in a few years for your court hearing" order that will most likely be violated until an anchor baby can be born.

A judge says that's illegal. I guess his point is that Biden cannot act as a Soros DA and just ignore the law as written by Congress. That is Biden arrogating to himself the power of Ultimate Unconstitutional One-Man Article I Super-Legislature -- and Tyrant.

In ruling, Judge T. Kent Wetherell writes that the Biden admin has "effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country."

Order is stayed for 7 days to allow for appeal.

A federal judge in Florida on Wednesday agreed with the state's Republican attorney general that the policy of President Joe Biden's administration to release many people who illegally cross the U.S.-Mexican border rather than detaining them violates U.S. immigration law.

U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell in Pensacola blocked the administration from continuing to implement a 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that had authorized "alternatives to detention" to ease overcrowding in detention facilities. These alternatives included ankle bracelets, phone monitoring or check-ins by immigration officers. Republican critics have called the policy "catch and release."

Wetherell, appointed by Republican former President Donald Trump, said federal immigration authorities lack the power to implement those alternatives on a widespread basis under existing law. The judge agreed with the argument made by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who challenged the policy.

"Defendants have effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country," Wetherell wrote, referring to non-U.S. citizens who cross the border illegally.

One question I have, which I don't know the answer to, is what effect the judge's ruling that Biden's "non-detention policy" is not subject to judicial review and continues to stand.
