German Food & Ag Minister: Some Of You Will Have To Starve, And That Is A Sacrifice I’m Willing To Make

The zealots of the Sustainable Organic Church Of The Carbon Apocalypse are no longer hiding the fact that they expect many of you to die in order for them to achieve their green utopia. (Isn’t it weird how left-wing utopias always have such an awful body count?)

The German Food and Agriculture Minister, Cem Özdemir, recently stated that "Hunger is no argument against bio diversity and protection of the climate.”

In other words, the Food Minister has assented to starving the German public in order to achieve political ends desired by Germany’s ruling class.

The enviro-ghouls trying to impose their agenda on us have truly reached the “Some of you will have to die, and that is a sacrifice we’re willing to make” stage of their revolution.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine (Germany’s 3rd most-read newspaper) has already deleted this tweet, but Özdemir’s death wish for the German proletariat cannot be unsaid.

“Organic” Is Just A Designer Label For Your Groceries

I don’t shop at Whole Foods, but I’ve always admired its business model – getting status-conscious people to pay a designer-label premium for ordinary groceries.

Some people are wising up about the organic scam.

Whole Foods uses the slogan, "Our Meat: No Antibiotics, Ever" in its marketing materials, such as on packaging, signs in the store and on its parent website, Amazon.

But one of the plaintiffs, Farm Forward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending factory farming, said it did its own testing in 2021 and 2022 and found traces of monensin sodium, a growth antibiotic, in one sample of a Whole Foods beef product, and fenbendazole, an antiparasitic, in five Whole Foods beef products.

Buying groceries labeled “organic” is like paying a premium to have a Cadillac hood ornament slapped on a Chevrolet.

The lawsuit also claims Whole Foods financially exploited its customers by charging significantly more for its meat products compared to competitors, under the guise that their products are healthier.

Well, yeah, that’s pretty much the business model - selling meat and produce at a huge premium over the price charged to lower-status people at mass-market grocery chains.

When you buy organic, you’re paying a premium for sanctimony, not for healthier foods.

Remember When Obama Nationalized Student Loans To Save Taxpayers Money?

So how much is President Biden’s student debt bailout going to cost taxpayers?

The White House said Friday that President Joe Biden's action to cancel student loan debt for millions of borrowers will cost the federal government $240 billion over the next decade after refusing to give a cost estimate earlier in the week.

But that $240 billion figure is based only on the $10,000 “basic forgiveness plan” and doesn’t include the $20,000 Pell Grant forgiveness. Nor does it include the fact that there will probably never be repayment of the rest of the student debt that keeps being deferred. (The most recent deferral pushes repayment back to 2023.)

Do you remember when President Obama nationalized the student loan program? It was actually sold as a source of government revenue that would help pay for Obama Care.

Congressional Democrats' version of "street sweeping" is nationalizing an industry and folding its profits into the budget, thus partly paying for some radical expansion of government -- health care reform in this case. The budget reconciliation bill being used as a sidecar to the Senate health care bill also contains a federal takeover of the student loan industry.

Over the next decade, between reduced subsidies to private lenders and interest collected from students, the expected profit is $60 billion.

That profit gets counted toward the reconciliation bill's score from the Congressional Budget Office, and voila! more deficit reduction from the health care reform bill.

We were lied to by our government when we were promised that nationalizing the student loan industry would save taxpayers money. We are being lied to about what the student loan “forgiveness” will cost taxpayers. Our government doesn’t even attempt Clintonian parsing of words any more. It just lies to us.

WaPo Fact Checker: If Trump Is Defending Birds, I Support Their Slaughter

On his Truth Social page, Donald Trump wrote, “Our eagles, and all other birds, are being decimated by the Chinese built windmills.” So naturally, the Trump-deranged media comes out in favor of slaughtering eagles. Washington Post “fact checker” Glenn Kessler offered up this non-sequitur in response, pointing out that housecats and cars also kill birds.

Just a reminder - if an oil drilling project kills one protected bird, there is hell to pay. But “environmentalists” who favor green energy are passionate in their support of killing endangered golden eagles.

The tenuous position of golden eagles contrasts with the conservation success of their avian cousins, bald eagles, whose numbers have quadrupled since 2009. There are an estimated 346,000 bald eagles in the U.S., versus about 40,000 golden eagles, which need much larger areas to survive and are more inclined to have trouble with humans.

Georgetown University mandates masks for students during in-class instruction [Fox News – 8/24/2022]

Georgetown University is requiring its students to continue wearing masks during in-class instruction this fall amid lingering cases of COVID-19 and nationwide outbreaks of monkeypox.

Georgetown, like most elite universities, is long past its expiration date. Bravo to GU for its unyielding commitment to Covid sharia. I’m just disappointed that more elite schools aren’t following its lead in trying to make the college experience as miserable and dehumanizing as possible. Any institutional suicide they employ to hasten their demise is welcome news.

Also, Georgetown is requiring that students wear masks to prevent the spread of monkeypox!? On what part of their bodies are the students required to wear the masks?
