The Morning Report - Amateur Edition

I don't think you guys realize what a treasure Sefton is. J.J. Gets up early, every morning, to compile The Morning Report, and he knocks it out of the park every damn day. Well if you didn't realize it before, you will now, because Sefton has decided that he wants to move to America, so all week The Morning Report will be done by subs, and someone thought it would be a great idea for the very first non-Sefton MR to be written by the freak who posts nonsense on the ONT twice a week. That's like a rookie getting a call up to the bigs and being told he'll bat behind Ted Williams.

Abe.jpg

I know this happened late last week, but Japan really lost a great leader. Shinzo Abe was a passionate advocate for his nation, and for the west as a whole. A staunch advocate for strong opposition to China, Abe was Trump's first and arguably most important ally on the world stage. He even took time to tell the young people in Japan to knock off the obsession with anime and to go have sex and babies in real life. The whole world is poorer for his passing. A Tribute to Shinzo Abe

Biden Follies

4chan users claim to have hacked Hunter Biden’s iCloud account A huge dump of information was posted on the notorious message board, although it was later taken down by administrators. Site administrators all over are running ragged trying to keep all of this stuff under wraps.

The biggest thing from the dump being discussed over the weekend as a contact Hunter had in this phone labeled “Pedo Peter”. Speculation is rampant that this is the President (Joe used the pseudonym "Peter Henderson" in emails to his son), and if so, it could put Sleepy Joe's predilection for holding children close to him for photos in a new light. I wonder what Hunter knows?

Retired three-star general Gary Volesky suspended after tweet at Jill Biden

Retired lieutenant general Gary Volesky, a former spokesman for the Army, responded to a tweet from Biden about the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, in which the First Lady remarked that women’s rights had been “stolen.” Biden tweeted that “for nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make our own decisions about our bodies. Today, that right was stolen from us.” Volesky responded, “Glad to see you finally know what a woman is.”

It's interesting to note that many “retired generals” including Jim Mattis, Barry McCaffrey, William McRaven and others freely took shots at President Trump without detriment to their civilian careers, but Volesky's mild jab at Doctor The First Lady Mrs Jill Effin Biden resulted in a swift crackdown. Odd that.

Biden Unveils Plans to Recruit 250k Tutors
To reverse the negative effects that the COVID lockdowns had on children, dontchano. This plan has received the approval of the two largest teacher's unions in the country, strangely enough. Oh, wait, how silly of me. How much do you want to bet that these “tutors” will be unionized? It hasn't been revealed yet, but don't bet anything you can't afford to lose against it.

Op-Eds

Trust the American People, Not the Jan. 6 Committe

So, we have the Democrats in Congress (with their co-leader anti-Trump, anti-Republican Liz Cheney) acting in secret with the cooperation of the news media. Three of the five least respected institutions in America are colluding to keep more than 1,000 videotaped interviews and 25,000 documents secret from the public.
Of course, we should have seen this coming. Recall at the outset, Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to allow Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy to make his own appointments to the committee – violating centuries of rules and tradition – which led to the Republican boycott.
Is it any wonder the American people have anger, hostility, and contempt for the Congress and the news media?
They treat us as though we are too stupid to see through a rigged game, a stacked deck, and a fraud of carefully selected and edited propaganda.
They are wrong.

‘All your child are belong to us’

No Democrat has actually said “all your child are belong to us,” but every time I read a story about the Democrat push to sever the parent-child relationship, I’m reminded of that long ago Japanese video game with the horrible translation: “All your base are belong to us.” Beginning with Lenin, all totalitarian takeovers have involved co-opting children and breaking them away from their families. We’re seeing this with a vengeance in the medical field, where children as young as 12 can make unilateral medical decisions—including destroying their bodies with dangerous hormones and mutilating surgery.

In West Virginia v. EPA, the Supreme Court Send Power Back to the People’s Representatives

The Supreme Court term that ended last week will go down in history as one in which the Court took major steps to reaffirming the constitutional framework laid out by our Founding Fathers, where power is separated and major policy decisions are properly made by elected officials who can be held accountable to their constituents by means of regular elections. The Court’s ruling in West Virginia v. EPA, issued on the final day of its term, is an excellent example.

A Bit Of Fun

SR-71 Blackbird Speed Check Story

And I thought to myself, is this a ripe situation, or what? As my hand instinctively reached for the mic button, I had to remind myself that Walt was in control of the radios. Still, I thought, it must be done - in mere seconds we'll be out of the sector and the opportunity will be lost. That Hornet must die, and die now. I thought about all of our Sim training and how important it was that we developed well as a crew and knew that to jump in on the radios now would destroy the integrity of all that we had worked toward becoming. I was torn. Somewhere, 13 miles above Arizona, there was a pilot screaming inside his space helmet. Then, I heard it. The click of the mic button from the back seat. That was the very moment that I knew Walter and I had become a crew.

Or if you prefer, you can hear the story from the man himself:

I love SR-71 stories, like the time a Blackbird called asking for clearance to FL 60 (60,000 ft), much higher than almost anything flies. Not knowing it was a Blackbird (they hang out at FL80+), the ATC replied testily “How are you going to get to FL 60?”, to which the Blackbird pilot replied “We were planning on descending”. Here's one more, from the same pilot in the clip above: The Slowest Flyby

And I guess that's it. Not a patch on what you usually get, but that should be enough to get your week started right. Provided I remember to set the alarm for 6AM to post it.
