Top-Ranking Virginia State Senator Arrested by Feds for Trafficking Marijuana, Money Laundering, and, Get This, Fraud

This arrest is totally "racist" according to the drug dealer and her Democrat Media supporters.

Virginia Democratic state Sen. L. Louise Lucas has been charged with allegedly having a leading role in a criminal enterprise that traffics marijuana and launders the proceeds, according to a federal indictment unsealed Thursday.

The indictment charges Lucas and six other defendants, including several of her relatives, the Justice Department said in a statement. The 82-year-old lawmaker has surrendered to authorities, a Justice Department spokesperson told the Associated Press.

Authorities in May searched Lucas' hometown office and a cannabis shop in which she had a stake.

They allegedly orchestrated a scheme over years to enrich their own criminal marijuana enterprise, and Lucas used her position as chairwoman of the state's "Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee to insulate the enterprise from criminal scrutiny and influence legislation to financially benefit group membvers, according to Patel.

The feds also arrested seven of her criminal family members.

Virginia State Sen. Louise Lucas and various family members are in federal custody today, up on charges of racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to launder money, conspiracy to commit audit services fraud, and maintaining a drug-involved premises.

FBI Director Kash Patel said at a press conference today, "As alleged by the Attorney General, Ms. Lucas, for the last nearly five years, accumulated nearly $5 million in ill-gotten gains through her criminal enterprise."

When Lucas was heard in a phone tap calling the (alleged!) criminal enterprise her "last chance at generational wealth," she really meant it:

The Old Dominion lawmaker-turned-lawbreaker (allegedly!) is 82 years old, so any worthwhile sentence would likely be a life sentence. Ironic, given that in an intercepted phone call with an alleged coconspirator earlier this year, Lucas can be heard saying, "I've gotten too old to not be greedy."

Fake moderate communist Deep State operative Abigail Spannberger, the media, and this pot-dealer's lawyers are complaining that the pot dealer was elected just before an election.

I have read the charging document alleging a series of criminal acts by a member of the Virginia Senate. In our American system of justice, people are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and that is true for Senator L. Louise Lucas. She and her family deserve the opportunity to present their defense and speak to the allegations presented.

The timing of this indictment undermines the U.S. Department of Justice's previously longstanding policy of not taking legal actions -- to include indictments or significant investigative steps -- close to an election and sadly, this timing further erodes the trust the American people deserve to have in the Department of Justice.

Maybe, but not her election, these mob lawyers fail to mention: She's not up for reelection this year.

They also fail to mention that this investigation began "under" Joe Biden. Or let's just say he was the guy napping in the Oval Office when it began.

She immediately cried -- prepare yourselves -- Muh Racism and said that she's used to being arrested for being an illegal drug trafficker and money launderer because "I grew up under Jim Crow."
