I mean, he might just say on Monday: I didn't get the "reassurances" I wanted so I'm in it to win it.

Graham Platner privately told staff that he is planning to officially file paperwork to end his Senate campaign on Monday -- the drop-dead deadline for him to exit the race.

Halperin said no special "paperwork" is needed -- a simple email to the Secretary of State, announcing a withdrawal, will do it.

So why does he need the weekend to compose an email?

Why it matters: Though Democrats largely appear to think Platner is done with his bid, his last-minute timing is likely to cause a final pang of anxiety within the party. Driving the news: Platner made the comments to his team Wednesday night shortly before he announced publicly he was suspending his campaign.

"On Monday, I entire -- I intend to file the requisite paperwork with the Secretary of State to remove my name from the ballot," he said, according to a person on the call.

Under state law, Platner has until Monday at 5 p.m. to drop out of the race in time for the party to replace him with a new nominee.

As of about 1 p.m. Thursday, Platner had not officially withdrawn from the race, according to the Maine Secretary of State.

"No official withdrawal notice has yet been received from Mr. Platner," said Jana Spaulding, deputy secretary of state for communications. "A public declaration is not an official withdrawal, and a candidate must formally withdraw to the elections office in writing, including signature."

Platner was recruited and promoted by two Democrat operatives: Morris Katz, a bisexual who proposed including a picture of his penis in a book intended for children to explain puberty to them, and Daneil Moraff, a nepo baby heir to the Toys-R-Us fortune who did what most nepo babies do and decided communism was a great idea.

By the way, rich bitch nepo babies admire socialism and communism because they know, first hand, that some very wealthy people did not work a single minute for that money and do not deserve it.

Of course, they universalize from their own narrow experience and construct fantasies that no one else earned their money, either, which is a Comforting Cope for them because it lets them believe that their own experience of doing nothing, creating nothing, contributing nothing yet being massively rich is a common thing.

Now, if they feel guilty about being undeservedly rich, they could give their money away to charity.

But they never do -- they want to continue enjoying the benefits of immense, unearned wealth.

So what they do instead is push for socialism and communism, while continuing to enjoy the fruits of capitalism. They get to "do penance" for their massively-unearned massive wealth by agitating for socialism while actually giving up precisely nothing.

Win-win, huh? Except for everyone else.

Democrats are pissed at this pair of political hustlers for foisting the Humble Oysterrapist on them, and they're opening all their dirt files on the two.

This report suggests a reason for Daniel Moraff not being too distressed about Graham Platner's history of rape and sexual violence.

PA. - Yesterday, Payday Report learned that Congresswoman Summer Lee barred Moraff from her 2022 congressional campaign after receiving at least three complaints of sexual misconduct against Moraff.

Now, Moraff, who recruited Graham Platner to run for Senate in Maine, is at the center of a massive controversy after he admitted that he spent only a few days vetting Platner, who just withdrew from the Senate race after he was accused of rape.

Given the fact that both Congresswoman Lee and Justice Democrats stopped working with Moraff following these accusations, questions have been raised about why so many on the left trusted him to give a thorough vetting and assessment of Platner.

"Birds of a feather, flock together and Moraff and Platner were predators," said one woman, who says she was sexually harassed while working to elect Congresswoman Lee.
