A CBS "News" Reporter Asked Black Supremacist Ta-Nehesi Coates Why His Book Blaming Israel For the Terrorist Attack of 10/7 Failed to Even Mention Hamas or Hezballah;
Pressured by Woke Left, CBS Apologizes for Daring to Question Him
It's "unprofessional" to ever ask a Black Supremacist about the words he wrote in a book.
That's where we are now -- the media believes it's "unprofessional" to ever question a lightweight black radical because they are Made of Truth.
Maybe you've heard that Ta-Nehisi Coates has a new book out called "The Message" about Israel and the Palestinians. The book is based in part on a 10-day trip to the West Bank that Coates took last year. Critics have said the book presents no history of the conflict and instead presents Palestinians as victims of Israeli racism. Coates' take is so one-sided that the words Hamas and Hezbollah do not appear in his book.
He spent ten whole days being led around by Hamas minders? Well, that makes him an "expert" by today's Twitter University standards.
Last week, CBS Morning had Coates on to pitch his new book but something unexpected broke out when CBS journalist Tony Dokoupil said the contents of the book reminded him of extremist rhetoric about Israel and pressed Coates on his completely one-sided account of a longstanding conflict.
Update:
Dylan Byers also reported this today
UPDATE: CBS News has invited self-described "mental health expert, DEI strategist and trauma trainer" Dr. Donald Grant to moderate conversation on this issue in an all-staff meeting tomorrow.

As I said below, mark this story -- it will continue to roil for a week. CBS will be forced to say, eventually, whether you're permitted to Question the Woke or not at some point. Jan Crawford has laid down the gauntlet -- either CBS "News" permits journalists to do journalism, or it does not.
...
See Sexton's post for video of the reporter doing what reporters are supposed to do -- asking political activists about claims they make in their books. Not just fawning over them because they're "marginalized" heroes.
CBS "News" -- also suffering from leftwing "audience capture" almost as bad as MSNBC's own producers say that network is -- now throws this reporter under the bus and accuses him of having no ethics because leftwing political activists demanded they do so.
CBS News' Jan Crawford is blasting their network. She says she doesn't understand what "editorial standards" the reporter supposedly failed to live up to.
Definitely listen to that editorial call -- Jan Crawford is groping as to how she can express herself that "journalism" REQUIRES asking people about their controversial and "one-sided" claims or else it's not journalism at all, WITHOUT being 1, fired, and 2, cancelled.
Though she's piping up bravely, you can hear the raw fear in her voice.
Crawford says she doesn't understand how she is supposed to operate as a journalist if she's not allowed to ask people questions about controversial claims.
The answer is simple: You must always peddle the hardest hard-left line.
Note that Coates deliberately is releasing his book in time for the anniversary of the Hamas rape-slaughter of 10/7, and CBS "News" is now apologizing to Coates for having questioned his pro-terrorist book on 10/7.
Here's a ghastly reminder of what Coates' heroes did on 10/7, if you can bear it.
Keep an eye on this story. It's not done yet. CBS "News" will be forced to take a position on whether or not it's ever appropriate, by "editorial standards," to ever, question a black radical wokie or if their "editorial standards" require only fawning promotion.
