Senator Bob Menendez Indicted for Acting as a Foreign Agent

Huh. I wonder if there are any other well-connected Democrats who have been acting as foreign agents.

DOJ? Merrick Garland?

Can you think of any other connected Democrats who have been hoovering up money from the Romanian government, Chinese communist party officials, and Russia gangsters acting as Putin's agents since 2014?

And then failing to register as foreign agents under FARA (the Foreign Agent Registration Act)?

And also committing tax fraud to avoid declaring all the millions they received from foreign governments, which monies, if declared, would trigger a FARA investigation?

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., was hit with new charges Thursday accusing him of accepting bribes from a foreign government and acting as a foreign agent, according to a superseding indictment.

The new indictment, filed by a federal grand jury in Manhattan, alleged that he "provided sensitive U.S. Government information and took other steps that secretly aided the Government of Egypt."

Did Menendez hold back $1 billion in aid for Egypt to pressure them into firing a prosecutor investigating an Egyptian energy company that was paying his whoremonger crackhead son $1 million per year?

No?

He didn't do that?

Well if he had done it there would be nothing to charge him with, because that's no a crime, according to the DOJ.

Menendez faces up to two years in prison for failing as a public official to register as an agent of a foreign power, according to a law cited in the superseding indictment.

Menendez and his wife, Nadine, last month pleaded not guilty to corruption charges alleging that they used his influence to pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes.

Three other defendants -- New Jersey businessmen Jose Uribe, Fred Daibes and Wael Hana -- also pleaded not guilty to the corruption charges last month.

In the indictment Thursday, federal prosecutors alleged that Menendez's wife and Hana "worked to introduce Egyptian intelligence and military officials to Menendez for the purpose of establishing and solidifying a corrupt agreement."

In this agreement, Hana, with assistance from Daibes and Uribe, "provided hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes to Menendez and Nadine Menendez, in exchange for Menendez's acts and breaches of duty to benefit the Government of Egypt, Hana, and others, including with respect to foreign military sales and foreign military financing," prosecutors said.
