First-World Problems...

Modern windows are amazing, but old windows are crap, and that is putting it politely. We have lots of windows, most of which are modern technology with classic design, and truly they are wonderful. But we have several older windows that need to be replaced, and apparently the lead time for custom sizes of the brand and style we want was, until recently, in excess of six months. So we put it off and put it off, but now I think it is time to complete the renovation!

Just look at that frost!

But on second thought, it is rather pretty, even though it means we are letting lots of cold air into the house. And the sight of the flag through the frost is delightful.

Not delightful enough to keep the old windows, especially with natural gas having tripled in cost, but it does ease the pain somewhat!

Not much of a First World Problem, but then it is a beautiful cold, crisp day, and our very nice new neighbors will be joining us for drinks and then dinner...Chinese food of course! There really isn't much to complain about.
