Mike Lindell: I'm Going to Prove That the Elections In Miami/Dade County Were Rigged... By Ron DeSantis
I can't think of any reason for him to make this claim -- WITHOUT EVIDENCE, as Jake Tapper's snarky chyrons would say -- except to show that it's not just that Trump's numbers are rigged downwards, it's that the numbers of his potential opponents are rigged upwards.
Or that DeSantis is now part of the Hillary-Clinton-led conspiracy.
You know, if everything's "rigged," nothing's rigged. Making accusations about everything isn't making a case. It's just making noise, which people tune out. It discredits the genuine parts of your argument.
Lawyers always say: Don't introduce crap arguments. The jury discounts your good arguments down to the level of your crap arguments, and figures, if your good arguments were good, you wouldn't have resorted to trying to snow them over with crap.
But here's Mike Lindell, engaging in DeSantis Trutherism.
LINDELL: Do you know what happened in Dade County in the 2022 election?
HOST: Is that the one? That's not the one where so many Hispanics flipped and voted for Republicans is it?
LINDELL: Well, this is where Ron DeSantis won Dade County, a Republican won Dade County. Well, for me, I look at deviations, everybody. That's a deviation. I don't (crosstalk)...I don't believe it. So I want to, I'm just gonna show everybody, just like we always say about Democrats, where they stole their elections.
Bonchie comments:
What's he even looking for in this context? Miami-Dade was not actually a deviation as he claims. It followed the same trends across the entire state that showed large shifts toward the Republican Party. Besides, how exactly would Ron DeSantis be able to rig the election in a Democrat-run county? That doesn't begin to make any sense.
It's not just that. The People's Pundit Richard Barris had predicted, based on polling trends, that Dade County would flip to the Republicans... in 2024. So DeSantis' big sweep accelerated this trend by two years. Hardly a "deviation" which should prompt an evidence-free accusation from Lindell that he's fixing the vote in a Democrat-controlled county.
"They" are all in on it.
How much do you want to bet that Mike Lindell magically comes back from Dade County with sketchy "evidence" that he does not share with his audience, but merely characterizes for them, that just happens to back up his evidence-free accusation?
I'd say about 100%.
This is why there will never -- N E V E R -- be any real wins on voting integrity. Because any time we want to talk about cleaning up voter rolls so that dead people's names aren't on them, nor are names of people on them five or six times for their five or six previous addresses, mandatory voter ID, mail-in ballots only on request and with signature verification and a copy of a photo ID, or any of a dozen practical, vital, this-must-happen-now reforms, we have jokers like this screaming about The Kraken.
