First-World Problems...

The high school band (or was it the orchestra?) sells flowers to raise money for...whatever. Trips to band camp maybe. Anyway, they know they have a soft touch at Chez Dildo, so early November rolled around and sure enough, some high school kid (who looked 12) rang the doorbell to sell us something. It was a cold day, so I invited him in while I consulted with the spousal unit about which to purchase and, sadly, he told me that he was not allowed to enter people's homes.

What has this world come to?

Anyway, the flowers were delivered last week, and the amaryllis seems to be on steroids...growing inches/day! Pretty flowers, but along with the flower came some annoying gnat-like little beasts. Probably some sort of fruit fly enjoying the sugars in the bulb.

Yeah...that's the extent of my First-World Problems for this week!
