What's the difference between your servers suddenly disappearing and a planned maintenance window that the datacenter didn't bother to tell its customers about?
Not a whole lot, to be honest.
What's the difference between systemd and a relaxing weekend?
A shovel, ten gallons of kerosene, and a box of matches.
In short, I have not had a fun day. I got dragged in to work - remotely, but still - at 6AM because the main database stopped databasing and couldn't be restarted. And my other blogging server has been down for nearly seven hours due to "brief" datacenter maintenance. So I've been listening to my server down alarm going off for fourteen hours.
