Jennifer Lawrence: I Stopped Being a Republican Because of a Line Tina Fey Said on "30 Rock"

I forgot, or never knew, that she "used to be a Republican."

Apparently she wasn't what you'd call a "strong" Republican, because a single line from Tina Fey on the absurdist comedy "30 Rock" was enough to completely change her worldview.

Or at least it started to change what she thought about being a Republican. She continued "evolving" into the entitled twatty AWFL she is now.

"The Hunger Games" star said she voted for Republican candidate John McCain in the 2008 presidential election when he ran against Barack Obama.

Speaking to Vogue for its October issue, Lawrence said she was watching "30 Rock" as a 16-year-old, and revealed the one line Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon said that changed her perception of being a Republican.

The life-changing line for Lawrence was, "Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America."

Lawrence revealed that to her, being a Republican posed the question, "Why should my taxes pay for your haughty lifestyle?"

"Nobody likes to see half their paycheck go away, but it made sense to me. Yeah, for the greater good, I guess it makes sense," she said of her current views.

Speaking in 2020, Lawrence, who was raised in Kentucky, said she saw "the fiscal benefits of some of the Republican policies" but eventually realized the party's social policies didn't align with her views, so she "changed my politics based on the things I learned."

Lawrence once said she saw "the fiscal benefits of some of the Republican policies."

But what really "changed everything" for the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress was Trump's election.

"This is an impeached president who's broken many laws, and has refused to condemn white supremacy, and it feels like there has been a line drawn in the sand," she said. "I don't think it's right ... it just changes things for me."

Idiot.

To follow up on yesterday's story about another AWFL actress -- wait, this is an Actress Slash Director -- Olivia Wilde has a lot she's trying to distract from with her unprovoked attack on Jordan Peterson as an "insane man," a "pseudo-intellectual," and "the king of the incels."

She's in a feud with Florence Pugh -- she dismissively called her "Miss Flo" in that leaked video -- and apparently the feud began because Pugh was a little icked out by Olivia Wilde, a mother of two, having a blatantly obvious affair with a man 10 years her junior.

Apparently Jason Sudeikis would come by the set with their kids in tow to visit, and everyone had to feel the discomfort of remaining silent about an affair that Wilde was taking no precautions to hide.

Hollywood is buzzing that the 26-year-old actress has fallen out with Wilde, 38, over the director hooking up with Styles.

"I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry," one insider told Page Six, referring to Wilde's ex, "Ted Lasso" star Jason Sudeikis.

The former couple -- who got engaged in 2012 and share kids Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5 -- announced the end of their seven-year-romance in November 2020.

At the time, sources cited Wilde's relationship with Styles as the main reason for the split, with one insider telling Page Six that the affair with Styles, now 28, had been ongoing for a month, leaving "Saturday Night Live" vet Sudeikis distraught.

"Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable," the insider said this week.

Internet sleuths certainly think something is up -- finding it strange that, in an industry where stars live and die by Instagram, Pugh failed to "like" a post in which Wilde included the full official trailer for "Don't Worry Darling" last week.

Pugh is generally refusing to promote the movie she stars in, while promoting an upcoming movie she's also in, Oppenheimer.

I don't like this woman. I can't wait until her movie bombs.

This movie should not even be theatrically released. It's the kind of lower-profile movie that is typically released on streaming now. But I'm sure that Toxic Feminist #GirlBoss Miss Olivia demanded that it be released in movie theaters, otherwise she'd start shrieking about sexism.

Below, the trailer for Don't Worry, Darling, known in some markets as Toxic Masculinity: The Movie.

This earlier trailer made it clear that Olivia Wilde's "vision" was incredibly creative and groundbreaking, depicting, get this, nice suburbs as an unspeakable soul-killing prison, created solely to control and chain the #GirlBoss Animal Spirits of Wealthy White Women.

Suburbs as a prison?! Wow, give her the Palm d'Or!

The movie was produced through New Line Cinema, a sub-unit of Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. was making a lot of #Woke "business" decisions earlier.

I don't think David Zaslav will be greenlighting Don't Worry, Darling 2: The Secret of the Ooze.
