Hi. You have found The Weekend Hobby Thread. The hobby world knows no boundaries except for news and current events. Save that for another time. If you want to talk about your hobbies feel free to drop me a line or comment away today about them.

I think it was Christmas of ---- that my folks or was it Santa Claus gave me a wood-burning kit.
That was one present I used until it wore out. Over this past winter I purchased another set but really haven't gotten into it. Too many hobbies not enough time. But, wood-burning is a fun hobby. Relatively inexpensive to get in to it. And you don't have to be a Picasso.

Photography seems to be a popular hobby. I received the following:
Thanks for posting my painting last week. I've posted before that I'm a jack of all trades but a master of none. Sometimes I wish it was the opposite. I'm envious of some of you who are both. Attached is my period of B&W photography. All taken in the Hudson Valley area. - Anti doesn't matter

Those are beautiful photos. It's sad these lose so much being sent via email, downloaded and then formatted to fit the blog.

I love fishing. However I have never gone Deep Sea Fishing. This looks like a Hoot!
This is me bringing in my first (and only) blue marlin.
A 750 lb. Juvenile
We tagged and released it.
This was about 1999 aboard the Sea Genie out of Kona, HI.
Kindest regards! - gourmand du jour
I suspect a 750 lb fish would have been an expensive mount or replica. Then there is the wall space.
That's one nice thing about fishing over hunting. Catch and release Thanks for sharing this thrill.

Back to photography. Our very own Moron and all around good guy JohnFNotKerry submitted the following:
JohnFNotKerry here again. I took some pictures of the recent lunar eclipse through my telescope with my cell phone, and this one was my best. Right beneath the moon, which was at eclipse "totality", is a star that is being "occulted" by the moon. Since the moon moves differently than the stars, I watched as it (from my angle) moved toward the moon but wasn't really trying to catch it where it appears in this picture.
Thanks John.

Once again "Thank You" to you Morons who submit your interests to us here. If you want to share something with us (And you know you want to) you can reach me at petmorons at gmail dot com.
Until the next time, keep your brushes wet and your lure in the water. Have a great week!
