The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

“The former president’s hosting this garbage over there, and those guys are accepting this money — it’s an insult to all the people that died on 9/11 and how their families were affected,” Former NFL QB Boomer Esiason

Quote II

"The jury in this case was thoughtful and attentive to the evidence. This verdict justly reflects the extensive evidence regarding the nature of the harm caused by Charter Spectrum's gross negligence and reckless misconduct. For the safety of the American public, we can only hope that Charter Spectrum and its shareholders are listening," Attorney Chris Hamilton

Quote III

“I think it is appropriate for Jim Harbaugh to make comments on political matters. First, he is staying true to his conscience and speaking out against what he believes is wrong. This is the fundamental basis of free speech and the free exchange of thoughts and ideas.”Luke Estey, a sophomore studying psychology and philosophy

This story hits so close to home.

HENDERSON, NV — Tough, independent woman Maggie Stallings once again told her husband today that he absolutely must leave the toilet seat down or she will actually fall into the commode.

"I need a man to do this for me or I will literally die," said Mrs. Stallings, staring at the raised toilet lid. "It's such a heavy lid and I simply can't trust myself to know if it's up or down. One wrong move, and I'm a goner!"

Their demise is not fast enough. The Cleveland Douchebags.

As a result of years of pressure from activist groups, several years ago, the Cleveland baseball franchise announced they would soon be changing the team’s name.

Naturally, the team prominently declared its commitment to the correct motivations, suggesting that unity and “community” explained their decision:

“We believe our organization is at its best when we can unify our community and bring people together – and we believe a new name will allow us to do this more fully.”

So after over 100 years as the Cleveland Indians, the team started play in 2022 as the Cleveland Guardians.

But Yogi did you have an invitation to visit?

July 27 (UPI) -- A South Carolina woman's security camera captured video of the moment a bear strolled onto her front porch and rang the doorbell in the middle of the night.

Wendy Watson said the doorbell camera at her Greenville County home started recording about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, triggered by the motion of a bear that wandered up to her front door.

What should we do about marijuana possession charges, convictions and imprisonment? Elon Musk makes a valid point.

Elon Musk says US should 'free some people in jail for weed here too' after Biden reportedly offered to swap a Russian arms dealer for imprisoned WNBA star Brittney Griner

The following story struck me as funny. That's Mr. Misogynistic Humanitarian to you.

More than 30 riders in the all-female Tour de France Femmes crashed and piled on each other Thursday during the race’s fifth stage.

Eurosport captured footage of the moments after cyclists crashed into each other and got entangled among themselves.

“It was chaotic, people were screaming everywhere, and mechanics, directors and doctors came running – it was chaotic,” Canadian cyclist Magdeleine Vallieres Mill told Cycling News after reaching the finish line.

Just another cat fight. Nothing to see here, move along.

A transgender cheerleader who was born a biological male was kicked out of a Texas cheerleading camp and given a criminal citation after allegedly choking a female teammate.

"Well guys I’m officially retired as a cheerleader as of last night at 5:30 AM. A girl on the team was being very disrespectful and told me I am a MAN with a PENIS and that [guys] should not be on the team," the cheerleader, Averie Chanel Medlock, wrote on Facebook last week. "I stood up for myself and she called her mom and dad because she was scared because I [stood] up for myself. Her father said ‘she still has testosterone and a penis and I will kill anyone who comes after my daughter.’"

FJB!

More than four in ten Americans have been forced to cut back on everyday habits and items, including the amount of groceries they purchase, as a result of Bidenflation, a recent Suffolk University/USA TODAY survey found.

They survey asked respondents about the habits they have had to change due to the reality of rising prices in President Biden’s America. Bidenflation was much worse than experts predicted for the month of June, rising to an annual rate of 9.1 percent, according to the Department of Labor.

At the grocery store this morning sweet corn was $1.00 an ear. Da Fuq!?!

And now...................... SPAM is under lock and key.

It’s the nation’s crises in a can.

Inflation and crime have gotten so bad in Gotham that even cheap meat like Spam has to be locked up.

At Duane Reade’s store in the Port Authority bus depot, the shelf-stable product — only $3.99 a can — is now being stocked in plastic, anti-theft cases.

“I’ve never seen that before!” one cashier laughed while using a magnet to remove a can of Spam from its cage.

The cashier was among the employees, tourists and store regulars stunned that the iconic blue-and-yellow cans are now being kept under lock-and-key — some even poking fun at the sight as “a sort of Jeff Koons homage,” per one viral tweet.

Perhaps someone should have applied themselves more in school. I've always wanted to say that about someone other than myself.

‘The absolute hatred in my heart whenever someone orders a cold drink’: Starbucks barista complains about working the ‘cold bar’ for most of his shift

'Thank you for your service. sincerely, someone who loves cold blended drinks from Starbucks.'

Speaking of coffee. So my coffee consumption isn't a problem?

You are the pollution they want to eliminate! Study: ‘Eating Too Much Protein Makes (Human) Pee a Problem Pollutant in the U.S.’ – ‘Can contribute to warming’

Whew. Big ass sigh of relief.

I generally don't follow The Gateway Pundit too closely. However in this case I hope the suit is successful.

Although Maxwell’s criminal trial is over, she still faces a civil suit from Virginia Giuffre, who has said that when she was an underage girl known as Virginia Roberts, she was used by Epstein and Maxwell as part of their sex-trafficking operation.

On Friday, The Gateway Pundit announced that it is seeking to intervene in that civil case to have the list of names made public, if a list of names exists among the documents in the trial.

Man Tries to Perform Nose Job on Himself, Unsurprisingly Ends Up in the Hospital

A Brazilian man ended up at the emergency room last week, after attempting to perform a rhinoplasty on himself, using YouTube tutorials and super glue.

You can find all sorts of DIY tutorials on YouTube these days, and that apparently includes nose surgery as well. However, just because someone says you don’t have to be a doctor to perform an operation, especially if it’s on yourself doesn’t make it a good idea.

One man's trash is another's treasure. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Taking a “leap of faith,” a young Haitian man is trying to adopt to a baby he found in a trash can despite it cutting into his university studies.

Long since legally-declared the boy’s guardian, 27-year-old Jimmy Amisial is merely waiting to raise money for the adoption procedure, and taking significant time away from university studies to do it.

The story goes that back in December 2017, a 22-year-old Mr. Amisial came home to visit his mom Elicie in Haiti during a study break from Texas State University where he’s studying communication and electronic media.
