Kmele Foster gives a very good update to the Christian Cooper/Amy Cooper story.
If you don't know those names: That's the black bird watcher who accused the white "Central Park Karen" of making up fake charges against him and calling the cops on him.
Here's what the media all knows, but which never tells you:
Christian Cooper is known to have a history of doing this. He has complaints from multiple people of threatening their dogs. He, a man who hates dogs and routinely threatens to harm them, carries around a bag of dog treats just so he can lure dogs over to him.
Now, I love dogs, and I walk to the dog park just to see dogs. But I would never bring dog treats just because I know no dog owner would want a stranger giving them treats.
This guy, who hates and threatens dogs, is always walking around with dog treats. He's armed with them.
That's like... that's like a pedo walking around with a bag of lollipops.
The media knows this. They know he has been in physical fights with people over his insistence that dogs must be on leashes.
They know that one letter submitted with Amy Cooper's lawsuit against her company attested to the fact that Christian Cooper did the same thing to another man, threatening his dog.
And the man who wrote that letter? Was himself black.
They know all this.
But they continue to refer to Amy Cooper as "The Central Park Karen" and they continue to pretend that Christian Cooper is a victim.
Kmele points out that that the media continues to falsely claim that Amy Cooper "falsely accused" Christian Cooper of threatening her dog even though Cooper himself admits to threatening the dog.
He admits it. So how is he "falsely accused"? In what way?
Birdwatcher Christian Cooper was thrust into the spotlight in 2020 when he filmed a racially charged encounter with a White woman in New York's Central Park. Next year he'll be back on television on his own terms: To showcase his passion for birdwatching on National Geographic.
Cooper will host a series, "Extraordinary Birder," which National Geographic says will take viewers on a journey through the "wild, wonderful and unpredictable world of birds" around the US.
"Whether braving stormy seas in Alaska for puffins, trekking into rainforests in Puerto Rico for parrots, or scaling a bridge in Manhattan for a peregrine falcon, he does whatever it takes to learn about these extraordinary feathered creatures and show us the remarkable world in the sky above," it said in a statement.
