Despite Propaganda Media's Insistence That Inflation Is "Moderating," Producer Price Index Accelerates to 11%

These Ultra-MAGA numbers won't comply with the narrative!

Prices at the wholesale level accelerated further in April, part of a broader inflation problem persisting through the U.S. economy, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.

The producer price index, which tracks how much manufacturers get for products at their initial sale, rose 0.5% on the month and 11% from a year ago, a decrease from the record 11.5% in March that was revised upward 0.3 percentage points.

A separate economic report Thursday showed that jobless claims totaled 203,000 for the week ending May 7, an increase of 1,000 from the previous period. That was above the Dow Jones estimate for 194,000.

Meanwhile, Biden has fallen to a new low in job approval -- 34% -- in the latest Civiqs poll, with 55% disapproving.

Just for fun, I clicked the tab for young voters, aged 18-34, and found out that his approval rate with that cohort is... 27%. It's actually with 65+ voters that he manages his best showing, 41%.

Biden's apologists and handlers and script-writers and puppeteers keep claiming that all this inflation is a natural consequence of re-opening -- that there was pent-up demand for goods and services, and when we re-opened (more than a year ago), this demand was unleashed and it drove up prices. And this has nothing to do with the Corn Pop Conquistador's Trillions in "stimulus" spending.

Okay. Well, if that's true, then it should be the case that the other Western countries, which did not enjoy President Fingerparty's trillions in "stimulus" overspending, should have seen the same levels of inflation upon re-opening.

Did they?

No.

They saw some inflation... but much, much, much lower levels of inflation.

Practically... no inflation, actually. Like the 2% inflation we aim for as nominal inflation.

Their lower levels of inflation these eight wealthy western countries saw we can take to be the approximate levels of "natural" inflation due to re-opening. (Although I imagine these countries also overspent and caused their own excess inflation, too.)

Everything above that is due to Biden and the Woke Democrats.

Also, she didn't know the person in charge of this critical task. So again, she's very concerned.
