Fauci held that up, a snapshot of Paul's website, to accuse Paul of fundraising off of Fauci. Paul grilled him on Fauci's sleazy political PR efforts to smear the epidemiologists -- more qualified men that Fauci -- behind the Great Barington declaration, and Fauci attempted to disprove the charge that he was a political hack who did not respond to valid questions but instead just smeared those questioning him by... smearing Rand Paul for asking a valid question.

Fauci then accused Rand Paul of stirring up "obscene phone calls" and death threats against him. Rand Paul had to remind Fauci that he was present when the Bernie Sanders super-supporter James Hodgkinson III attempted to assassinate Congressional Republicans, but he never blamed Bernie Sanders. (Or Rachel Maddow, who almost certainly filled Hodgkinson with "RUSSIAN AGENT!!!" delusions.)

Arizona mom slams Delta for lack of gender options for her nonbinary child

In a Twitter thread Thursday, Dawn Henry, 52, said she was trying to buy a surprise plane ticket for her adult child when she discovered Delta only provides male and female gender options.

Rachel Maddow's producer feared slandering Madison Cawthorn, because he might ask to appear on the show to respond, and they dare not "take that risk."

A "Rachel Maddow Show" producer accidentally copied GOP Rep. Madison Cawthorn's (N.C.) office in an email to a Capitol Hill NBC News colleague expressing concern that the congressman may request to come on the show if asked for comment about a story alleging that he could not seek reelection because of his previous comments at the Jan. 6, 2021 "Save America Rally."

The story, initially reported by The Associated Press, shows that a group of North Carolina voters were attempting to disqualify Cawthorn from reelection because he gave remarks questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election during the pro-Trump rally that precipitated the Capitol riot, citing a portion of the 14th Amendment that states, anyone who, having "previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress" shall have "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same."

The Maddow producer, evidently unaware that Cawthorn's office was copied on the email, asked the NBC colleague to request comment from the lawmaker's office because, if a "Maddow" representative asked, he might "ask to come on and explain." The producer added in the email that the show does not want to "take that risk."

Over the weekend, 19 people including 9 children were killed in terrible fire in The Bronx, caused by a malfunctioning space heater. Dozens were seriously injured.

Also over the weekend, ten were killed in Brazil as a cliff-face collapsed and killed boaters beneath it.

An absolutely horrific scene today in Brazil as a giant rock became detached and fell on three boats of tourists in Minas Gerais, a state in Southern Brazil. Deaths are confirmed but the number is unclear. At least a couple dozen injured. https://t.co/V61pzvv31f

I know that this would bring the numbers closer to reality, but they never bothered with bringing numbers closer to reality before, did they?
