Ted Cruz Calls January 6 Riots "A Violent Terrorist Attack on the Capitol"
Ohhh. So that's why so many of you guys always hated Ted Cruz and thought he was an inauthentic poser.
Apparently Ted Cruz thinks his core constituency is... NeverTrump. The people who hate him almost as much as Donald Trump, and who refused to rally around him to stop Trump, preferring Hillary Clinton over him.
Cruz recently told us that he was in the catbird seat to run for president, and would do so "in a heartbeat."
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said he would "absolutely" consider running for president in 2024, arguing he was in a good position to win the race because he was the runner-up for the Republican nomination in 2016.
"Absolutely. In a heartbeat," Cruz told The Truth Gazette on Wednesday when asked whether he would consider a run in 2024. "There's a reason historically that the runner-up is almost always the next nominee."
And now... and now.

@YossiGestetner
The minute you call it a "violent terrorist attack on the capitol," you lose most of your standing when complaining about the DOJ, Dems and Media because they have diff views than you how to handle a "violent terrorist attack on the capitol."
Ted Cruz: "We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week. And it is an anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the capitol."
"It is also worth asking ... What could have prevented the breach of the Capitol? What could have prevented the riot getting as far as it did?"
Cruz, the "fighter."
He called now Jan 6th "a violent terrorist attack on the capitol."
Hahaha.
GOP - Group of Putzes.
It's not @LeaderMcConnell or @GOPLeader. It's the fabric of the party.
He didn't mention BLM or the insurrection at the WH last year that forced a POTUS into the bunker and wounded 60 USSS staff.
The GOP is a systemic clown show.
Cruz accepts the narrative that lawmakers were about to be lynched despite the fact that many hundreds calmly walked in the Capitol taking selfies and not moving rope lines. It was mostly calm where PD was not at hand.
Bloodthirsty terrorists leaving things mostly neat? Haha.
It's very possible that Ted Cruz used this language to help bury Trump for 2024 since @tedcruz sees himself as next in line for the nomination. However, as 2008 and 2012 has shown, Dems always use former "bad" Republicans as a stick against current ones, for example:
Bush didn't show up to the 2008 convention (due to a hurricane, sure, totally), and was not a factor at the 2012 convention, but Obama/Biden used Bush against Romney.
Disowning fellow GOPs with Dem narratives harms GOPs.
Besides, Cruz is blamed by many Dems for 1/6/21.
But I'm sure AllahPundit and Bill Kristol will give him a second look now.
15 Gotta lose the primary to win the general ace. You just don't understand Jeb Cruz's strategy here.

I guess his idea is that the Trump vote is owned by Trump and if, for some reason, Trump doesn't run, DeSantis owns it.
So he's making a new lane for himself of Not Trump. Like, for "moderates" or something.
Except those people loathe him.
Way to triangulate, Genius.
