Schumer says that unless Republican vote to allow Democrats to rig every election in the country in perpetuity, he will force a vote on repealing the filibuster, which he will lose, because both Manchin and Sinema have announced they will vote against it.

But he's a big strong tough man. Be scared!

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation.

While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to "embarrass the will of the majority," against the founders' intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.

Schumer has previously expressed support for altering the filibuster but the statement is his strongest in favor of the idea.

By the way, Democrats are admitting -- bragging, really -- that they're just using their bullshit January 6th propaganda as leverage to "supercharge" their push for "voting rights."

In other words, this is all crude political theater to help them avoid a wipeout next year. Nothing more than that.

It's going to be an emotional week for a lot of people on Capitol Hill. With the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol siege Thursday, Congress is planning an array of memorials and speeches to commemorate one of the darkest days in American history.

Lawmakers will have the opportunity to tell their personal stories of what it was like to hide from angry rioters. Cable news will blanket the airwaves with harrowing footage of the assault. Leaders of the Capitol Police will testify before the Senate Rules Committee about the security situation one year later.

But Democrats are hoping that Thursday will be more than just a day of remembrance. In the Senate, we hear from well-positioned sources, there's a desire to take the opportunity to supercharge the party's long-stalled voting rights legislation -- possibly even using the anniversary to try to get Sens. KYRSTEN SINEMA (D-Ariz.) and JOE MANCHIN (D-W.Va.) to go nuclear on the filibuster or embrace rules changes.

I'm old enough to remember when Charles Schumer flip-flops on how important/how anti-democratic the fillibuster is every six or eight years, depending on whether or not he's Majority Leader.

A Democrat township commissioner in Darby, PA has been arrested for sexual assault on a 15 year old boy.

A township commissioner in Delaware County, Pennsylvania has been arrested in Philadelphia after turning himself in for an alleged r@pe that took place more than four years ago.

Marvin Smith has been charged with r@pe, sexual assault, luring and related offenses.

Smith was arrested after investigators allege he r@ped a male back in 2017.

According to Philadelphia police, "On April 15, 2019, the complainant stated to Philadelphia police that on August 12, 2017, he was sexually assaulted."

It's unclear at this point why the investigation took so long since the victim reported the incident back in 2019.

An Australian man was critically injured after he doused himself in gasoline and lit himself on fire in public on New Year's Day after ranting against vaccines, according to local reports.

The gruesome act of self-immolation occurred just after 8 p.m. local time in the Richmond section of Melbourne when the man poured the gasoline on himself and his vehicle while shouting expletives regarding the state of Victoria's new COVID-19 vaccine mandate, according to the Herald Sun.

Witnesses said police and firefighters tried to douse the burning man with water as he exited the vehicle, still shouting. With the help of five bystanders, officials restrained the man and put him into an ambulance that transported him to the Alfred hospital.

"His skin was burning. He was on fire," a woman, who did not want to be identified, told the Herald Sun. "His skin is stuck to my shirt. He was just off his face [intoxicated] screaming about the vaccine mandates."

Don't worry, Biden said there was a lot to be hopeful about in 2020.

Trouble is, he said that just now, in 2022.
