Insurrection in France, Australia Over Vaccine Passports and Lockdowns

These French insurrectionists must have been inspired by Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump.

Around 300 anti-vaccine passport protesters stormed the town hall of Chambery, denouncing French measures to implement a vaccine passport.

The group had gathered in front of the courthouse at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday before heading for the town hall.

After noticing that the door to the town hall had been left open, the protesters entered, yelling various slogans, including, "No to the [vaccine] pass," and "Macron must resign!" French broadcaster France Info reports.

Meanwhile, Australia is also facing civil unrest as it imposes another draconian lockdown over a small handful of new covid cases.

The police have vowed to crack down on these Tucker-Carlson-inspired insurrectionists.

Australia's most populous state reported a rise in new Covid-19 cases on Monday despite a weeks-long stay-at-home order, while police vowed to crack down on any repeat of a wild anti-lockdown protest at the weekend.

New South Wales, which has had more than 5 million people in Sydney city under lockdown for a month, reported 145 new cases of the virus, from 141 a day earlier, as it struggles to contain an outbreak of the highly contagious delta variant.
