Lefty Problems (not that kind!): First-World Edition
Yup, as some of you suspected, I am sinister. And I only turn one way ( levorotatory). And I am out of stupid jokes, so let us move on to the real point, which is that lefties often get short shrift with many manufactured objects because there simply aren't enough of us to bother with specialized implements. Sure, there are specialty manufacturers who make all manner of lefty-dedicated things like scissors and golf clubs and computer mice and yes, even pens. But the selection is often small, and the prices large.
Why am I thinking about this? Because I have been a lefty for 29 years and I should be used to it by now! I am, but because of a confluence of events (and Weasel's devious whispering in my ear) I have an extra lower that is just crying out for a left-handed upper. And unlike most other things, there is everything under the sun for left-handed builds. Not quite as readily available, but with a little bit of patience It will get done.
Except...because of the wonders of a free market economy, there is an absolutely mind-boggling variety of stuff to use. It's Legos for adults and I am absolutely overwhelmed by the selection.
The Gun Thread is coming up this evening, so save the good stuff for that. The point is that we are blessed by an incredible variety of everything! The only time we have little or no choice is when government gets involved.
