The Morning Report - 3/8/21 [J.J. Sefton]

Good morning, kids. Monday and without devoting a whole lot of real estate to the travails of Andrew "Angel of Death " Cuomo, a fifth alleged victim has now stepped forward, and New York 's State Assembly Speaker and Senate Majority Leader - both Democrats - are now officially calling for Virgil Sleaze-ozzo to fall on his salsicce. If only he just wore blackface in college and called Obama a clean, articulate half-eggplant, things might have been different. Look, somebody in the junta wants him gone. A political rival? Too much heat being generated over his unleashing a biological weapon that murdered thousands of elderly people, with the blowback affecting the four other tyrant governors? It 's one thing to have opposition research from the GOP bite you in the ass because the media 99% of the time has your back. See: Coonman McMengele Northam. But when your own party wants you gone, I think it 's safe to say that the writing 's on the wall. See the links below for more info.

The lead story, and for me the only story for the foreseeable future (barring unforeseen or otherwise major one-off events), is the continuing consolidation of power by the Democrat Junta and the concomitant dismantling of our culture and muzzling of any and all voices of dissent in the public square. All of this is based on the demonization of anyone who dares question the results of the 2020 election, as well as the events of January 6th, Black Wednesday, a low budget Reichstag Fire but which is well on the way to achieving the same results as the original.

Let us now turn to the "armed " "insurrection " by "white nationalists " at the Capitol on 6 January. Everything that the Democrats have said about 6 January, including "and " and "the, " is a lie. The claim that Trump incited violence is refuted by what he actually said about being peaceful and patriotic. Keep in mind that demonstrating in front of the Capitol is standard procedure for many movements and campaigns. Does anyone really believe that a disorganized mob of several hundred unarmed individuals would try, or could somehow "overthrow the government? Three hundred of the demonstrators were arrested on 6 January, and none had a firearm. So it is a lie that they were "armed," and a lie that their riot was an "insurrection."

Democrats repeatedly say that "five were killed. "They do not mention that two were Trump supporters who had heart attacks, one was a Trump supporter who had a stroke, and the fourth was an unarmed, female veteran who was shot dead for illegal entry. Who was the criminal here? The identity of the shooter remains hidden. The Democrats claimed a Capitol Policeman was murdered by Trump supporters who hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher. This proved to be totally false, and no explanation has been forthcoming as to why the policeman died a day after the riot.

No member of Congress was injured, nor is there any good reason to believe that any of the rioters intended to attack anyone in Congress. AOC who "lived through the riot " in another building far from the riot, and Rashida Tlaib also not in the Capitol, gave tearful accounts of how petrified they were, because they thought they were near death. Their reports were not just phony, but ridiculous. Bad actresses and brazen liars.

But you cannot fault the Democrats for lack of creativity. Anything that they do not like, or fain not to like, is "racism." You can be sure that if they would get a hamburger that they do not like, they would label it "racist... "

But do not worry; there is method in Democrat madness; all of this is for a clear purpose: to transform Democrat power into absolute power. Now that CPP virus fear is declining due to the Trump vaccines, and American citizens may be less passive in the face of Democrat power grabs, a new fear is needed to cow the population. And here it is: QAnon insurrectionist terrorists...

Actually, rather than the imaginary QAnon military divisions, it is the Democrats who are plotting against American democracy, and doing their best to undermine it through electoral manipulation and through a military occupation of the nation's capital.

While this is going on, a more ludicrous if not equally insidious overthrow of our society is taking place; the war on Mr. Potato Head, Dr. Seuss and now Pepe LePew are being thrown on the bonfire of entarte kunst, or degenerate art for those not fluent in the language of love.

Have we reached peak preposterousness, or is the tsunami still building?...

...YouTube, a Google ( "We Do Evil ") subsidiary upped the stakes a notch by refusing to carry President Trump 's speech because he called into question the fairness of the 2020 presidential election. I guess YouTube won 't be featuring me either, because I continue to believe that the election (as President Trump put it) was "rigged "... and therefore illegitimate. Perhaps that belief, or at least my stating it outright, qualifies me as a potential Domestic Terrorist (TM) or Biden-My-Time Domestic Extremist (TM). We 'll see. I 'll let you know if Christopher Wray calls to chat about it.

Just a few days ago, in what may seem to be a sillier expression of cancel culture, the world learned that Dr. Seuss Enterprises had decided to stop selling six beloved books by the author of The Cat In the Hat because they contain portrayals of various ethnic groups that are "hurtful and wrong. " This really is, as the Princeton linguist Joshua Katz put it, "beyond madness."

But the seeming arbitrariness of the interdiction is part of the point. It is, as they say, a feature, not a bug, for the aspiring totalitarians seeking to police what we can read and say and publish. Lenin once said that Communism meant "keeping track of everything. " We don 't call it "totalitarianism " for nothing. What they seek is total control of every aspect of our lives. Last week it was a book by Ryan Anderson and a speech by Donald Trump. This week it is some books by Dr. Seuss.

Have we come, finally, to the end of the insanity? I wouldn 't count on it. As Meghan Cox Gurdon put it in a column about the canceling of those books by Dr. Seuss, "If you're being chased by wolves, throwing out a few chunks of meat may slow their pursuit, but it won 't put them off. Why would it? You 've shown that you 're willing to feed them. "

From all of the above, to the border, to the continued insanity of lockdowns, mask mandates and perhaps forced vaccination requiring "papers " to prove it, to the piling on of trillions more dollars to our already impossible national debt to the dangerous abolition of our fossil fuel industry and a return to pre-industrial misery, squalor and death -- and on and on and on, the whole thing is bound to collapse in on itself. The question is when.
