The hits just keep on coming...and it's glorious! Whether it will have any substantive effect other than scuttling his chances for a position on the national stage remains to be seen, and I still think he will survive this. But his wet dreams of a presidential run should be a thing of the past, unless he is so supremely arrogant that he thinks he can survive the charges of sexual misconduct AND the drawn knives of his many enemies within the Democrat party.

Because that is the interesting part of this. It exposes the tension between the factions among the Democrats, and it shows which are ascendant. The establishment Democrats -- the ones who can hide their socialist leanings reasonably well -- are under attack from the younger SJWs who are fresh off their summer rioting successes and see themselves as the saviors of progressivism in America. What's scary is how quickly they have embedded themselves in the Democrat establishment. Karen Hinton, one of the first women to come forward, was his press secretary when he was at HUD, and Lindsey Boylan, Cuomo's other public accuser, had a high-level position within his administration and is now running for Manhattan Borough President. She's no pink-haired freak with tats and piercings.

It also further exposes what we have known for years about politicians of every persuasion; that they are in the main, stunningly arrogant and superior and that they truly believe that their behavior's propriety is exactly what they say it is. In the real world that is called stupidity, but in D.C. and the state houses it is normal and appropriate behavior. Politicians' sense of entitlement is vast, as we have seen recently with their flouting of their own draconian Wuhan Flu rules, playing fast and loose with clear and unambiguous election law, and a thousand other examples of the total disconnect between them and the people they love to rule.

So it's not surprising that Cuomo thinks he can behave this way. And if two women came forward, he did it to 50, and it probably worked on a fair number of them.
