The Morning Report - 9/14/20

Good morning, kids. Monday and the lead story is of course Saturday night's cold-blooded attempted assassination of two LAPD officers as they sat in their patrol car in Compton (which I believe is Maxine "Mikvah" Waters little fiefdom) by some still-at-large subhuman animal. The latest report is that the officers are out of surgery and are expected to live. Considering they were both shot in the head, going forward, every second of every day of the rest of their lives will be physically and emotionally painful. Prayers for them and their loved ones, and the rest of us, really.

Without getting distracted by the problematic nature of law enforcement and policing in this country, especially over the last 10-20 years (CBD covered this over the weekend and quite frequently on this blog), the fact remains that in what is supposed to be a civil society where the rule of a just and stable law is generally respected by the citizenry, mostly and hopefully because a sense of morality and ethics are drilled into us from an early age, police officers are who enforce that code when individuals disregard the latter. They are the physical embodiment of that code and serve as both a reminder of the consequences of disregarding it but more crucially the security that we can go about our lives unmolested in our own individual "pursuit of happiness."

But over the past decade or so, and especially over the past four, we have had an erosion of trust in law enforcement because of the creeping corruption from the top down of those who make our laws, those who sit in judgment and those who are there to enforce them. If you want to understand how two cops sitting in a patrol car can get ambushed like that, look no further than the actions of the Democrat-Media Complex and Barack Obama himself, because this fish well and truly stinks from the head. Then again, what's old is new again.

Patrolmen Waverly Jones and Joseph Piagentini were shot and killed while on foot patrol in the Colonial Park Houses public housing complex, at 159th Street and Harlem River Drive. They were ambushed by members of the Black Liberation Army.

As the two patrolmen were returning to their cruiser at approximately 10:00 pm, three suspects snuck up behind them and opened fire. Patrolman Jones was struck in the back of the head and killed instantly. Patrolman Piagentini was shot 13 times and succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.

One of the suspects stole Patrolman Jones' weapon which was later recovered in San Francisco, California after several BLA members opened fire on a San Francisco, police officer.

Two of the suspects, along with five others, were also involved in the murder of Sergeant John Victor Young of the San Francisco Police Department on August 29th, 1971.

The three suspects were arrested and sentenced to 25 years to life. One of the suspects died in prison. One remains in prison, and the third was granted parole in March 2018.

The end of the watch for Jones and Piagentini was May 21st, 1971. It's almost 50 years later - FIFTY YEARS. Same shit, different decade. Only this time, the likes of Bill Ayers and Angela Davis aren't on the lam and outcasts; they're in our government, our legal system, our media, Wall Street, Main Street, our churches and temples (for sure our mosques), and most crucially our schools. The anti-American bilge they were spewing over 50 years ago is now taught as gospel truth from pre-school all the way up through post-grad. The Black Liberation Army is now Black Lives Matter. The only difference is Black Lives Matter is feted, celebrated and funded to the tune of nearly $2 billion, mostly by corporate America, an institution that BLM has openly sworn to dismantle. The other difference is that anyone who dare utter a criticism or highlight the fact that it is a revolutionary Marxist terrorist organization is openly shunned, blackballed (racist?) or worse.

Meanwhile, Angel-of-Death Cuomo and Bill DeBolshevik have not only strangled the world's fifth largest economy and arguably its most iconic city to death, now their cooking its corpse and having it with fava beans and a nice kee-ANN-tee.

For $5,000 from a drug lord who wanted revenge, Perry Bellamy set up the 1985 murder of Parole Officer Brian Rooney, 34, luring him to a park in South Jamaica -- where a drive-by hit squad killed him with five shots. Now Bellamy will hit New York City streets again as soon as Sept. 30.

"It's despicable and it's heartbreaking," Alan Reiter, 74, Rooney's ex-partner, told The Post. "I can't imagine his assigned parole officer wanting to even supervise him."

The Parole Board declined to share its reasoning for the release. Does it have any?

Last month, after all, it sprang Samuel Ayala, the ringleader of three men who beat, raped and fatally shot two mothers, in front of their kids, in a 1977 home invasion in Westchester. Several of the now-grown children, denied their right to testify before the board because of the pandemic, are demanding a new hearing.

Well this is what you get when you defund or otherwise abolish the police. Then again if the Democrats ever regain power, you can be sure that there will be police. Think Stormtroopers and other colorful characters who will be doing the law enforcement, mostly minus the law part. The Democrat-Media Complex and Party are either backing this violence and the insurrection and mayhem of the past three months or are otherwise gladly riding a rabid tiger in hopes of threatening the American public with worse if we refuse to dump Trump this November.

What we are witnessing is societal breakdown. With a constant drumbeat that demonizes police officers as Klansmen, Nazis and genocidal maniacs mass-murdering innocent blacks, it is indeed open season on law enforcement. And that means it is open season on us. Don't believe me, look at this bilge from the NAACP.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, the NAACP Greater Springfield president said that while the death or murder of a police officer is a terrible tragedy, it does not have the same implication as a black person being gunned down by police.

"There's no such thing as BLUE LIVES... Stop comparing your JOB with my LIFE... Your CAREER is a choice, my BLACKNESS isn't. #BlackLivesMatter #BlueLivesMatter," he tweeted.

"No one deserves to be unjustly murdered, police or citizens," he continued. "If you're expressing outrage over the shooting of two sheriff's deputies, but we're [sic] defending #KyleRittenhouse murdering two protesters in #Kenosha only days ago, you need to shut up and have a seat."

I have a feeling that we are heading towards Dirty Harry: Magnum Force and The Star Chamber territory where, one or more police officers go through the records of gang members and other assorted criminals who have flaunted and/or escaped justice and take care of business. Honestly, I'm at that point where I not only won't care, but I'll cheer it on.
