The Morning Report - 7/9/20

molotvonrib.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday, and I'm looking back at the good old days of 2016 and 2018 when we laughed as the Democrat Party was seemingly going over a cliff, with the raving lunacy of such individuals as Bernardo Sandersnista and Donkey-Chompers AOC as its suicide note. Yet I had a niggling (can I still say that?), unsettling feeling come over me when I realized that those two and their ilk were not sideshow curiosities but represented a sizeable percentage of that party's electorate. Whether it was solely Trump derangement syndrome that caused the Democrats to drop the last infinitesimal pretense of being pro-American, or the coming of age of two generations of citizens weaned on the poisonous bilge force fed to them by American academia almost since birth is now a moot point. The events of the past six months, with the epicenter/flashpoint being the Minneapolis incident of May 25th, have made it quite clear that that Party, its leadership, supporters, financiers and voters represent an absolute, undeniable existential threat to whatever vestige of America as founded is still left.

...we are preparing the ground for a different kind of society.

...Because we are coming for you and your rotten system.

We are coming to dismantle this deeply oppressive, racist, sexist, violent, utterly bankrupt system of capitalism, this police state.

We cannot and will not stop until we overthrow it and replace it with a world based instead on solidarity, genuine democracy, and equality - a socialist world...

Those were the words of Seattle City Councilwoman Kshama "Idiot Savant" Sawant, who went on a rant directed at Jeff Bezos after the body passed the so-called "Amazon tax." It wasn't just aimed at him nor was it limited to taxation. She threatened to seize control of the Fortune 500, ban private property, free housing, abolish the police, release the rioters, etc. etc. etc. (For those keen on projectile vomiting, you can read it here. Links to Socialist Alternative website.)

Even incompetent Lefty whack-a-doo mayor Jenny Durkan cannot escape Sawant's ire, who is seen I guess as not having enough revolutionary zeal. Durkan, like Eliot Engel and others of their ilk are dead Democrats walking. This is not merely a local crime story; there is open hostility and warfare for the future direction and leadership of the party. Malig-Nancy Pelosi's and Cuck Schemer's flying rodents are coming home to roost.

..."Biden is transparently taking a bet to win over a group of anti-Trump Republicans but at the expense of what? Potentially losing some of the largest movements in history?" progressive activist and Sanders supporter Nomi Kurst told The Hill. "His excitement is extremely low and that should always be alarming for candidates. It's the Hillary Clinton strategy all over again."

... Progressives say they may bolt the party, though, if Biden keeps up efforts to woo Republicans, stressing that partisan rancor is at an all-time high and Republicans are likely to oppose Biden policy efforts once he takes office.

"It's very hard to understand why after going through eight years of the Obama administration that Joe Biden thinks we'll be able to carve out grand deals with Republicans,' one activist told The Hill. "The way we'll get Republicans to the table is by having a progressive movement in the Democratic Party that is strong enough to force them there..."

You'll have to force the GOP-e with a feather, toots. In any case The Democrat Party is gone. So where does that leave the party's establishment, that still controls much of the political muscle? Kind of fucked, actually, in the short-term political sense if it doesn't get with the program. And the short-term goal is defeating Trump in November. Tovarich Molotov? Say hello to Herr von Ribbentrop.

..."I [Bernie Sanders] was glad to work with the vice president in forming six separate task forces. Which had some of the most knowledgeable people in the country coming together to deal with education and climate change and health care and the economy and criminal justice and immigration reform. And these folks, needless to say, the people who represented the progressive movement had a different perspective on things than did Biden's people... I think the compromise that they came up with, if implemented, will make Biden the most progressive president since FDR...

I had a very long conversation with a very well known media figure (who shall remain nameless) who still thinks that the Antifa/BLM brownshirts are merely pawns of the globalists. Once the revolution succeeds, they will be dealt with much like Ernst Roehm's brownshirt stormtroopers were dealt with. At first I wasn't quite convinced but considering the words of characters like Mattis, McRaven et al, and the fact that the military would obey orders to put down an insurrection by Antifa/BLM to preserve order - even if that "order" was the new New Order of Globalist America (now with 100% less liberty!), I thought otherwise. Whatever happens to the Democrat Party is irrelevant considering the possible consequences to the nation as a whole.

I know it's depressing. But we can never predict the future. I'm not going to be Pollyanna here; the Left holds a lot of the cards. But they're not invincible and infallible. Freedom isn't free. The question is now how much are we personally willing to sacrifice in our own blood and treasure to ensure it, at least for the remainder of our lifetime and hopefully our children (assuming our children are still capable of being deprogrammed)? We have now passed a point of no return. What America will be a year from now, let alone 10, is anyone's guess. But while there is life left in me, I'm not about to bend a knee to these assholes.
