First-World Problems...Part V

I cut my hair yesterday....unfortunately not all of them. I neglected the top, just a few passes with the trimmer, and as I discovered to my chagrin when I actually looked in the mirror, the top grows too!

So I had to tune it up this morning, and while I think it is presentable, Dildo's Barbershop And Cooking School may have to be put on the back burner.

A haircut seems like such a simple thing, yet it has a civilizing influence out of proportion to its physical effect.

In other news, apparently snap peas are in great demand around these parts, because they are nowhere to be had. Perhaps they have some magical properties that ward off Sino-Lung-Rot!

I ran out of vermouth, and since the liquor stores are closed for browsing, I ordered a bottle of an old standard; Noilly Prat. More about martinis in the Food Thread, but for now? I am disappointed! Is it good? Yes, but the newer ones and even some of the other old standards (Dolin is a good one) seem to make a better drink. Yes, life is a struggle sometimes.
