National Review: Joe Biden Is the Unifying Voice This Country Needs.
Also National Review: Hey Stupid Conservatives, Donate Money to Us. We're Looking for $100,000

They're fundraising on Easter weekend during a national shutdown in which many people are missing paychecks and maybe seeing their businesses go bankrupt?

Bold call, Cotton. Let's see how that goes.

David Harsyani -- who I like -- is pimping for conservatives to donate to his "lifelong friend," National Review.

National Review is still an indispensable institution. While millions of our fellow citizens lose their jobs, and millions more remain anxious about the future, I hope that those of you who feel secure will help us during this short-term webathon to raise $100,000 by this weekend so the magazine and website can properly continue their good work in a time of crisis.

Why?

Because while National Review has always been known for its intellectual firepower and commentary, and that won't change, it is also a reliable source of news, offering a much-needed corrective to the media's unremitting, and worsening, bias.

Harsanyi then names some conservatives that National Review wants to advertise to donors -- omitting the fact that they're chiefly known as the outlet where obese cuckold opera blogger Kevin D. Williamson casually compares nationalist Republicans to actual German Nazis, where nepot failure Jonah Goldberg still has his increasingly liberal-leaning "column" printed, and where NeverTrump grifter Mona Charen is still considered "intellectual firepower."

She was at that Grifter Conference where they debated whether they'd vote for the socialist Bernie Sanders over Trump -- so you know, she's a real rock-ribbed conservative.

Here's the "intellectual firepower" and "much-needed corrective to the media's unremitting, and worsening, bias" they offer today: Mona Charen's clarion call to arms, ORANGE MAN BAD!!!

The Country Yearns for a Unifying Voice

By MONA CHAREN

Queen Elizabeth has spoken well for Britons. In America, Joe Biden can remind us of our better angels.

...

Americans are already behaving in cooperative and unifying ways. What they lack is a voice. President Trump is utterly incapable of sounding those notes. When he attempts it, as, for example, when an aide draws up some uplifting rhetoric, he seems to be sounding out the words as if reading another language....

Joe Biden, by contrast, is well suited to the unifier role. His strength is a sympathetic understanding of others' pain. His instincts are toward conciliation and cooperation, to the point that Democratic partisans were sometimes dismayed when, earlier in this cycle, he reminisced fondly about "getting things done" with Republicans.

Just now, in the midst of the crisis, Biden lacks an opportunity to voice a unifying message. But that time will come soon. He should seize it. It comes naturally to him. It would remind us of our better angels, and the country is yearning for it.

Joe Biden has been credibly accused of rape -- and as I keep mentioning, in most criminal codes, "rape" is defined as the forcible or unconsented penetration of the vagina by any object or body part -- by a subordinate employee.

Something Mona Charen forgot to mention.

Weird, because when she spoke at CPAC in 2018, her big topic was her disgust at conservatives for embracing Trump and for requiring proof of his alleged sexual assaults before condemning him.

Mona Charen, a National Review writer and senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, was asked during a panel about the Left's treatment of women what has left her most fired up in the Trump era.

"I'm actually going to twist this around a bit and say that I'm disappointed in people on our side for being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their own extramarital affairs, who brag about mistreating women," she said.

Declining to mention Trump by name, Charen said conservatives are guilty of "look[ing] the other way" when it comes to the president and other Republican men who have faced allegations of sexual misconduct.

Now who's looking the other way, Grifter?

Oh -- and she also called CPAC organizers Nazis for good measure. She and Kevin D. Williamson should do a "colab" on that topic, as the kids say.

I'm sure she had a whole paragraph about Trump's alleged assaults -- and I'm sure that she deleted that for this bought-and-paid-for agitprop when she realized maybe she shouldn't play the sexual assault card.

So, Joey Fingers, credibly accused of rape (and not having addressed the charges, counting on the liberal/NeverTrump media to censor it for him), is the man to guide us to our better angels.

So enthuses the most important "conservative" publication in America -- the National Review.

So definitely donate, knuckedragging Nazis and deporables! Your "lifelong friend" is counting on you!

The August National Review

Fighting liberal media bias by discovering exciting new CONSERVATIVE reasons for calling Republicans Nazis.

Trump started his presser early.
