ABCNews "Journalist" Admits He's a Socialist in Project Veritas Hidden Camera Sting; ABCNews Suspends Him for Blowing Their Cover

But journalists aren't supposed to tell the truth!

ABC News has suspended veteran Washington correspondent David Wright for remarks he made that were captured on video by Project Veritas.

Wright was disciplined after higher-ups at ABC News reviewed footage in which Wright describes himself as a "socialist" and appears to criticize the network for the way in which it chooses to present the news.

"I feel terrible about it. I feel that the truth suffers, the voters are poorly informed, and people also have the opportunity to tune into whatever they want to hear," Wright said in the video, which also features an ABC News producer.

"And so, it's like there's no upside, or our bosses don’t see an upside in doing the job we’re supposed to do, which is to speak truth to power and hold people accountable."

ABCNews claims it suspended him for causing an appearance (appearance!) of a lack of impartiality.

As Ed Driscoll from Instapundit asks: ABCNews does know that their top anchor used to run the Clinton War Room, and was a big donor to the Clinton Foundation, right?

And yet they're worried about the appearance of bias.

Yes, but only the appearance. Actual bias they love love love.

By the way:

Did ABCNews suspend him for saying he's a committed socialist, or for criticizing ABCNews for its Orange Man Bad coverage of Trump, refusing to report on Trump's achievements?

I say the latter.

Does ABC News -- run by former Clinton War Room staffer George Stephanopolous -- care to comment on this insider's claim that ABC refuses to give credit to Trump for the positive things he does?

Nah, of course not.

Just suspend the guy for Speaking Truth to Power.
