Bernie Sanders, Mike Bloomberg Trade Jabs Over Who Has the Heart Most Likely to Explode In the Next Two Years
Bernie Sanders had previously promised to make his full medical records available to the public.
He has now,, um, retracted that promise as no longer operational. He'll be hiding his heart attacks from you.
Another socialist lie.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Tuesday he will not release any more medical records during his presidential bid, arguing he's already released sufficient information to quell concerns about his health.
...
"We have released, I think ... quite as much as any other candidate has. We released two rather detailed letters from cardiologists and we released a letter that came from the head of the U.S. Congress medical group, the physicians there. So I think we have released a detailed report, and I’m comfortable with what we have done," he said.
Meanwhile, his spokeswoman declared that Mike Bloomberg had also had a heart attack.
Sanders has now corrected that -- Bloomberg did not have a heart attack (that we know of), but he did have the same heart operation that Bernie had after his own heart attack.
Gray followed up with a link to a New York Times article from 2007 which reported Bloomberg had surgery to have two stents implanted in a coronary artery because of a blockage in his heart in 2001 before he was elected mayor of New York City. Bloomberg served as mayor of New York for three terms.
There is no evidence that Bloomberg, 78, has suffered a heart attack.
Bloomberg’s campaign advisor Tim O'Brien quickly called out Gray on Wednesday for what he said was a "Trumpy lie," adding in a tweet that Bloomberg "has *never* had a heart attack."
Sanders, who is also 78, had a heart attack in October.
By the way, when I saw Ekdahl's tweet, I searched for "bernie sanders joe biden heart attack."
I had forgotten that Joe Biden isn't one of the top two candidates any longer.
Getting back to Sanders' health history (from the first article linked above):
The campaign also released additional medical information about Sanders beyond his heart health, saying that in the past he has been treated for "gout, hypercholesterolemia, diverticulitis, hypothyroidism, laryngitis secondary to esophageal reflux, lumbar strain, and complete removal of superficial skin lesions."
According to materials released by his campaign, Sanders has taken atorvastatin, aspirin, clopidogrel, levothyroxine and lisinopril on a daily basis, and has in the past been treated for a cyst on his vocal cord and two hernias.
In addition, an appearance on PBS' Antiques Roadshow confirmed that Sanders' liver is pre-Civil War but "low quality and very poorly preserved."
That last part is a "Trumpy lie."
