That was posted in reply to a thread postulating that Jeffrey Epstein set out to combine his two hobbies of sex with children and making a lot of money via blackmail.
I don't think that's a novel theory that needs much explication -- at least, not by this late date -- but if you're interested, you can read the thread here.
The (somewhat) interesting part is that "investments" into Epstein's "companies" were really just blackmail payments disguised as "investments." But that seems a bit obvious at this point too.
Speaking of sexual improprieties, Charlie Rose has attempted a modified limited hang-out in response to #MeToo allegations against him, which is strange, because it was a modified limited hang-out that got him into trouble (allegedly!) in the first place.
Rose admitted in the deposition, filed in the Supreme Court of the state of New York in Manhattan as part of the suit brought against him by the three former CBS News employees, that he has had romantic relationships with women he worked with over the span of his 45-year career, and told lawyers that he now realizes why they those relationships were "inappropriate."
"I'm saying inappropriate because the fact that I had relationships with people in the workplace over those 45 years and you know, we have now come to understand and appreciate and had by then that romantic relationships or intimacies were not appropriate in the workplace," he said, adding, "you know, because there was [power imbalance]," according to the deposition. Rose declined to go into detail about the specifics of those relationships, including names.
In addition, Rose admitted to compromising Paul Krugman's IP and downloading the uncensored version of Alyssa Milano's Teen Steam to his computer, cell phone, and iPad.
No but really, this seems to follow the pattern of admitting just enough to sound contrite, while not admitting anything you'd be permanently ejected from The Guild for.
Of course, there's always the possibility that these allegations are trumped up.
Not really enough for a post, so here's some boob humor.
