Media Flip-Flops On Whether Whistleblowers are Sacred and Deserve Anonymity as ABC News Launches Dragnet to Find Who Leaked the Robach Tape

The Robach tape, unlike Trump's phone calls to foreign leaders, are not classified national secrets.

Nothing in it is sensitive. It is merely embarrassing to ABC News, given that George Stephanopolous is a leading figure there, and he used to work for Clinton, and ABC News spiked an important story that would damage Clinton.

This leak is hygienic. This is the sort of secret you shouldn't be trying to keep. This is a secret about ABC News' (and the rest of the media's) corrupt, self-serving, mob-like behavior.

No national secrets were exposed here. No one did anything illegal.

At most, someone violated a civil contract.

And that's the worst that might have happened. In all likelihood -- there wasn't even a violation of an NDA.

But ABC News is hunting down the leaker and sharing the leaker's name to CBS, where the person is now said to work -- to get him fired/deplatformed.

That's the media's go-to move, isn't it?
