Clinton Crime Family Associate Sydney Blumenthal Attempted to Stop Publication of Lee Smith's Book Exposing RussiaGate

Hillary Clinton's Master of Whispers, her chief conspiracy theorist, doesn't like his handiwork being exposed.

Clinton family associate Sidney Blumenthal has made legal threats to the publisher of a forthcoming book featuring allegations against Democrats in connection with the Russia investigation in an attempt to stop publication, Fox News has learned.

A source familiar with the matter told Fox News that Blumenthal claimed the book -- "The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History," by Lee Smith -- was defamatory.

"Blumenthal tried to stop it from being published," the source told Fox News, saying the Hillary Clinton confidant sent threatening letters to Smith and publisher Center Street, a division of Hachette Book Group.

Oh, Blumenthal says it defames him?

Well you sold me. I just pre-ordered it.

One thousand NeverTrumpers living entirely in their liberal media and liberal "Republican" listserv cocoons (and up their own asses too) just heard for the very first time that Sydney Blumenthal wrote the first "reports" of what would later be called, for promotional purposes, the "Steele" Dossier.

Had they ever bothered to read something besides Jake Tapper's timeline, they would know that, but they don't, so they don't.

I'm sure they're all quite out to sea about this Joseph Mifsud business, or about Sidney Powell's revelations.

Jake Tapper didn't tweet about it so they just don't know about this stuff.

And they're not even bothering trying to play catch-up. They'll just repeat whatever spin Jake Tapper offers them.

And speaking of liberal Republicans' cocoons, which are just as stultifying and smothering as the main liberal media cocoon:

Would you say that your average conservative commentators -- I stress "commentator," one paid to be fluent in conservative thought -- should already know that Lindsey Graham is viewed very suspiciously due to his utter failure to actually call any witnesses in, well, any matter at all?

Even if you don't agree with that -- and I really think you should agree with that, but even if you don't -- you'd agree that a paid "conservative" pundit should be familiar with this frustration?

That a paid allegedly professional "conservative" pundit should not have to learn very basic things about What Conservatives Think very late in the proceedings from Twitter?

You agree?

Well, here's Jonah Goldberg, amazed and astounded by the news brought to him by RedState that many people think that Lindsey Graham is, like many of McCain's liberal allies, stealthily assisting the liberals and the DeepState while pretending at being a conservative ally of Trump's:

You're just learning that, huh, Big Guy?

Some have said that Jonah Goldberg "speaks social conservatism as a second language." Well, I'd say he speaks all conservatism as a second language -- he's a corporate-supremacist pop libertarian at best -- and he refuses to do any sort of outside-the-classroom reading in the language he's faking. Leaving his language skills very stunted and stammering.

You're very good at your job aren't you? You've bluffed and swiped your nepot way through life and now you're too old to hide behind the fascade of just being a young squirt. You're expected to actually work and show results, and you just can't be bothered, can you?

I've long been amazed at National Review and other magazines which seem to demonstrate absolutely zero knowledge of the conservative media -- they only seem to know what's being claimed in The Atlantic, the Times, Jake Tapper's twitter timeline, etc.

I suppose they believe that means "they're outside the conservative bubble."

Well, if you wanted to show you were outside of bubbles, you'd be conversant with all sorts of strains of thought and lines of reportage.

You don't show you're "outside the conservative bubble" by never reading anything but liberal sources like Slate and the NYT. That just means you're inside the liberal bubble, like every other liberal.

I continue to be absolutely baffled by people who can only write about ideas already fully promulgated and propagated by the liberal media.

We already have Jake Tapper's twitter tlmeline.

If you're only capable of reacting to things Jake Tapper tweets, what the everloving fuck do we need you for?

Why not just cut out the parasitic middlemen? It pains me to give him this compliment -- but Jake Tapper is better at giving me the Jake Tapper view of the world than his "conservative" followers and echoers.

We don't need the Asnes Chair of Liberty and Tacos to summarize it for us each day.

The fact is, if we want Morning Joe, we can watch Morning Joe. We don't need to fund or read "conservative" magazines that just deliver Morning Joe: The Print Version hours after the fact.

You know, I've long wondered why all the #SalonHot25 all follow and frequently interact with Vox's "reporter on the GOP and White Supremacism" (what a giveaway) Jane Coaston.

Now I think I know why:

They follow her because otherwise they would literally never encounter a thought from a conservative. They scan her timeline -- a supposed running commentary on what the Crazies on the Right are saying, curated by a very hard left progressive -- to keep tabs on what those Deplorable Conservatives are thinking and writing.

And otherwise: they just wouldn't know.

Lee Smith's book The Plot Against the President gets released in four days, on October 29th.

Someone tip Jane Coaston about its release, so that Jonah will hear about it in a day or two.

Reminded: When someone suggested to Jonah that he read Mollie Hemingway's book on Kavanaugh -- after it had been out for a week or two, and while it was the number one nonfiction book in the country -- Jonah said, either snarkily or earnestly, that he had not heard of it, but would maybe check it out.

As N.L. Urker reminds us:

9 Has Jonah G heard about Mollie Hemingway's book yet?

Well, if Vox reviews it, maybe he'll check that out. Otherwise, not interested!
