Womp Womp: Document Shows That Ukraine Had Already Re-opened Probe Into Hunter Biden's Firm Months Before the Trump Phone Call
Plus: Ukrainian Prosecutor On Tape Saying He "Helped" Hillary Clinton's Campaign

I sense a Logan Act violation here in John Solomon's illegal reporting of facts that Jake Tapper doesn't like.

A newly unearthed document shows that Ukrainian officials had opened a new probe into the firm linked to Hunter Biden months before President Trump's phone call with that country's leader, Fox News contributor John Solomon reported late Tuesday.

Solomon said Tuesday on "Hannity" that the U.S. government knew Ukraine was planning to look again into activities at Burisma Holdings, an energy company that employed then-Vice President Joe Biden's son as a member of its board of directors, early this year. The report is noteworthy because President Trump has been accused by Democrats of threatening in July to withhold foreign aid to Ukraine unless its new president pursued an investigation into the company and the younger Biden's role there.

"The U.S. government had open-source intelligence and was aware as early as February of 2019 that the Ukrainian government was planning to reopen the Burisma investigation," he claimed. "This is long before the president ever imagined having a call with President Zelensky," he added, noting Petro Poroshenko was still Ukraine's president at that time.

By the way: If you haven't seen it (you probably have, I'm very late to this), you absolutely must watch this conversation with a former Ukrainian prosecutor saying that he and his people helped Hillary, and provided Manafort's "black accounting' records to them.

And that Hillary belongs to the globalist wing which dominates the US and the world, which is "better for us" (the Ukaine, that is), while Trump, opposed to that party and only concerned with "internal" matters, is "better for them" (the United States).

Beck says that as far as he knows, despite this being widely available in the Ukrainian media and European media, this is the first time this recording has ever been translated into English and made available to American audiences.

I wonder why.

I'd like to ask why the liberal media isn't giving this any attention, but I guess my first question would have to be, why isn't the alleged conservative media giving this any play?

Aren't there some very well-funded "conservative" magazines out there? And new websites who just got six million in funding?

Aren't they supposed to, you know, occasionally do some reporting of their own rather than just commenting on what Jake Tapper's Twitter Feed is telling them today?

Is the National Review unable, financially, to confirm or falsify this story? In their whole organization, can they not find the eight hundred dollars necessary (at most) to pay a couple of Ukrainian-speakers to go through Ukrainian media to find if this tape is being reported on as genuine, and then pay them to translate the tape to discover if Beck's translation is accurate?

If not, what the fuck is anyone sending them money for? They're running another "Webathon" bleg right now; do conservative readers not have the right to demand that National Review actually do something for once with that money?

And how about The Dispatch, which promises at least one article per day "buttressed by rigorous reporting"? They just got six million dollars. Surely that can't all be going to offices and expense accounts and subscriptions to Is Hot Dog Sandwich? Quarterly.

And what of the billionaire's plaything Washington Examiner? No? No money in the budget to pay a translator? All going to pay superstar reporter Thotiana Lowe to browse through Powerline and find "scoops" there?

Free Beacon? Has Paul Singer instructed you that you are not to report on anything unhelpful to the anti-Trump Fusion GPS project, which, of course, you guys provided the initial seed-money for?

I've looked for translators online. They're pretty cheap. I found a couple to translate Polish so I assume it won't be much harder to find translators for Ukranian.

But nah -- just wait for Jake Tapper's Twitter Feed to report all the news your readers need to know. Then just provide some #HotTakes on what Jake Tapper told you to talk about.

I mean, we can never have too many #HotTakes. They're a very valuable commodity. The pinnacle of journ0lizming.

You know, at some point -- and I think that point is approaching much faster than you geniuses think it is -- people will start wondering why they have to send you any money or traffic when Jake Tapper's Twitter Feed remains free.

To quote Bob from Office Space:

What is it you'd say you actually do here?

What is the point of you?
