Democrats Come Out Guns Blazing on Guns

As part of his plan to curb gun violence in America, former Vice President Joe Biden is proposing that owners of assault-style weapons either sell their firearms through a voluntary buyback program or register their weapons with the government.

The former vice president's plan also calls for banning high capacity magazines as well as assault-style weapons, closing loopholes in background checks before firearms purchases, banning the online sale of guns, eliminating legal protections that currently protect gun manufacturers from being held legally liable if their weapons are used in mass shootings and allowing states to implement "red flag" laws.

He also declared that if a criminal steals your gun and uses it for an illegal purpose, you should be legally liable for it.

Also, something about no longer permitting people to hunt children with more than two shells in a shotgun.

Meanwhile, Kamala the Cop envisions a forcible confiscation of up to ten million "assault" weapons.

Whatever they wind up defining that to mean.

"There are five million at least, some estimate as many as 10 million," Harris said. "We're gonna have to have smart public policy that's about taking those off the streets, but doing it in the right way."

Harris is one of several Democratic presidential candidates to have endorsed a gun confiscation program. The freshman California senator told NBC’s Jimmy Fallon last month that she supported a “buy-back” program in order to get "weapons of war" off the streets.

"First of all, let's be clear about what assault weapons are they have been designed to kill a lot of human beings quickly," she said at the time. "They are weapons of war with no place on the streets of a civil society."

Below, Elizabeth Warren just shrugs to say "No Big Deal" when someone brings up the Constitution as an objection to her own gun-grabbing program.

The next time you see a NeverTrumper popping off, be sure to ask him (as I saw someone ask AllahPundit), "So, which socialist gun confiscator will you be supporting this time around?"

They never answer. I don't think they even bother mouthing Not-Binary Ben's old squee of "Not biiiiinaaaaryyyy" any more.

By the way, Jonah Goldberg is all-in for Biden. Almost all of his columns now either defend Biden or attack anyone critical of Biden.
