Rush Limbaugh: FoxNews is just the "Fake News NeverTrumper Network"

Pretty much, yeah.

He started by pointing out that virtually no one on Fox would just say that Trump is permitted to ask Ukraine to investigate a matter -- "Russia interference" -- which the leftwing media and also leftwing NeverTrumpers told us was literally the most important scandal in all of human history.

But it was only important enough for Democrats and Bill Kristol's allies to collect information from corrupt Ukrainian operatives. It's not important enough to investigate the connections between the DNC and corrupt Ukrainian operatives.

He then notes that this same crew of brave warriors won't defend conservatism itself.

Limbaugh wondered if the same people would in turn defend conservatism instead of "renouncing" it to "sidle up with these guys that you don't want to be criticized by."

These Never Trumpers can't even defend their own beliefs because Trump happens to hold them. So they can't defend basic conservatism because Trump is implementing it, and they so despise Trump for whatever inane reasons that they can't even defend what they always have believed! Can't defend the phone call? The only way you can't defend the phone call is if you happen to believe the way Adam Schiff characterized it. There is nothing against the law in asking for help in pursuit of corruption!

Below, a kinda-sorta related point from Steven Crowder.

He says that he (like everyone) wishes that more articulate conservatives would be as combative as Trump, but mix in stronger arguments, but says "they don't, because they're pussies." Can't argue with that.

That means that Trump wins the "But he fights" lottery -- by default.

I get so tired of the National Review types critiquing Trump's style or tweets or whatnot. He would not be in the position of doing that if you fucking pussies were doing it.

If you pussies and sell-outs actually defended the base and advanced their interests, they would not have had any need to turn to Trump for that service.

Similarly, Trump won on immigration because every other Republican made it quite clear that their opposition to illegal immigration was entirely false -- another bit of Failure Theater before caving and giving in to do what they wanted to do all along -- and would not survive past the primaries.

The only exception to that was Cruz, but Cruz was doubted just by being associated with these open borders monsters.

Had more Republicans been credible on this issue --> No Trump.

Again and again, these people defeat themselves and then blame Trump for their fall.

These people are liberals -- or liberals' kissing cousins, "libertarians" who only seem to want to apply libertarian principles in pursuit of left-liberal ends -- and continue scratching their heads about why a conservative movement has rejected them.
